    question about the LTO Portal...

is it possible to go to LTO and transfer details of our vehicle from one account to the other?

    my car - xx*email.com
    wife car - zz*email.com

My intention is to have both cars under my LTO account.

Wen I sold my car, I politely rushed the buyer to process the Deed of Sale. In my mind, may pinanghahawakan na ako in case the car is ever used for any criminal activity while it was still under my name.

"LTO to penalize unregistered car sale, mortgage soon"

The title of that news article is quite vague. In other words, you'll need some sort of "permit to sell". haha.. at least that's how I'm reading it.

a car that i had sold more than ten years ago, to a bayan seller, is still apparently under my name.
i found this out when the LTO introduced the LTMS online portal system. that car is apparently, via the LTMS portal, somewhere in northern luzon...

another car that i sold to my friend years ago...
    the friend had since migrated.
i was contacted by the new owner, asking for updated IDs, which we gave, naman.

how will such cars as these, be affected by the new policy?

Katamaran. Lalo na yung mga really old cars na 2nd or 3rd owner na, and sold off for mga 80k and below na lang.

As I did say in one of our conversations dati here doc. One could always report to the authorities that the car was stolen, and have it placed on the alarm watch list... but that would be a really NASTY thing to do though.
