LTO car registration and late registration fees

Hey guys. I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this thead but I couldn't think of anything else =)

I've been out of the country for over a year now and I would like to have my car registered since it hasn't been registered since 2006. However, I don't know how to do this. I kinda wanna do this "independently." =)

Anyway, what would the cost be for the registration of a 1998 Toyota Corona? What would the late registration costs be as well (it wasn't registered for 2007, and 2008)?

I checked the LTO website and all I got were the fines and penalties for an unregistered car (apparently, 900 pesos...)

Any help would be appreciated. Salamat po! =)

cmiiw, i think the penalties you saw in the site ARE the ones you have to pay for your unregistered/"late-registered" cars.

add ko lang din, penalty for late registration is 500 pesos per month. kung 6 months delayed na yung registration, 3000 penalties on top of the usual registration costs.

Kailangan pa rin bang sa LTO form mismo i-stencil ang engine & chassis numbers?

Ang hirap kasing i-trace ng engine number kung dun derecho sa form, laging butas yung papel o di rin mabasa.

Afaik pwede sa labas pa-stencil. Yun sa insurance ko sila na nag-process lahat basta sa kanila mo kukunin yun insurance, aabutan mo na lang yun mag-stencil saka papa-emission mo. Some vehicles eh mahirap i-stencil. Ang ginagawa ng taga-stencil eh gumagamit ng carbon paper, kinikiskis sa engine number tapos scotch tape para makuha stencil. Mas malinaw at malinis pag nilagay sa form

Mother file is in Taguig.. but I want to register it here in Marikina for covenience this month. pwede ba yan change venue or do I have to go to Taguig? Thank you for your inputs.

It turns out that we have to go to Taguig LTO... something to do with unpaid fees/computation of proper registration fee... after which, pwede na raw transfer venue sa LTO Marikina next year 2015. Thanks.

nakuha namin agad ang sticker ng Cr-v na dapat iregister noong june 1 week lang po

guys yung na bile ko VTI Honda 97 last Feb hnd ko na pna change owner o name. hnd ba ko magka problema pag pa2 renew rehistro? personalized plate 888 so ngyn Aug sya pa rehistro ko sana dito sa LTO las pinas. ano mga dadalin ko guys? orig or at cr lang ba? newbie lang pasensya na kayo.

for renewal of registration, all you have to bring, is a copy of the legal owner's OR and CR. just bring with you a copy of your deed of sale, in case you get questioned on why you are the one doing the renewal.
it becomes a bit more tedious (o sige, a lot more tedious), when you want to change ownership to your name.

and if you are a newcomer to car registration, you should also be aware of the requisite car emissions testing and the third party insurance (TPL). both are readily available sa tabi-tabi ng LTO.

Had my car registered yesterday. Nagtataka lang ako, hiningan kami ng TPL pero comprehensive lang napakita namin, hindi saw pwede yun. But the registration went on without us paying for a TPL,, ano yun nakalimutan lang nila? And another weird thing eh yung smoke belching test, sinaksak lang yung tube sa tambutso ko and they didn't ask me to rev. Binuksan lang makina.

Natagalan lang kami ng pag transmit ng record namin from LTO taguig, 1.5 hours for waiting for the transmittal, then 1 hour for the actual registration process. Not bad.

un smoke belching test kalokohan naman, nun last time ko pa rehistro 1min lan naka on then naka off na nga engine ko hanga umabot sa time para pa picture ng nag test.
