^ mAmaya pag uwian ng mga office folks baka sumikip na ang kalsada. public riding commuters will be occupying half the streets to try and spy buses not filled to the brim w/ poor souls enduring this pain. at least yan ang experience ko dati

Business as usual for jeepneys in Makati as far as I can tell.

Dami parin namang jeep ah. I saw military trucks offering free rides but they were very few.

I recognize the importance of jeepneys to the commuting public. When I was still in college I took the jeep to school daily too. But what they want is the status quo, and that cannot be allowed to happen when there are ways to be better.

sabi daw sa news may susunod pang strike ang mga jeepney drivers.

also sa news, mahirap talagang palitan yung mga jeep na registered sa LTO for more than 15 years. I'm just wondering, bakit yung may UV express or even taxis, napapalitan nila yung old unit nila into a new one?

Yan din usapan namin ng mga kaibigan ko. Di naman sa gine generalize namin pero karamihan kasi ng mga operators ng jeep ay one day millionaire. Kapag kumita ubos na madalas within a week or month. Hindi sila naghahanda in the future of possibilities na kailangan na palitan jeep nila for modernization.

Tama. Yung mga kilala kong UV express operator mas may alam sa maintenance and financing kahit paano. Maraming PUJ na operator/driver day to day lang ang iniisip. Pag may nasira or naluma na, saka pa lang magiisip kung saan kukuha ng pampaayos or pambili ng bago. Tingin nila tatakbo yung unit indefinitely habang buhay sila.

The "MAHIRAP" was I believe in reference to what these PUV drivers say when it's their fault and they get into an accident. They will always say pasensiya na po mahirap lang naghahanap buhay. I don't think it was meant as a condescending remark.
