6.5 seems to be the norm for the 2.7 vvti. Try easing the pressure on the gas pedal before it hits 2k rpm to see if it goes any higher. Some friend of mine argues his can go 7 and above but that might just be the route he's driving on.

Tanong ko lang po kung ano ang best na battery for 2.7vvti? May nakagamit na po ba sa inyo ng battery na Toyota made? I saw this in casa and it's cost like 4K and 24 months warranty. Malapit na po kasing mag 2 years ung car at baka biglang humina na ang battery hehehe...

    Maraming salamat po.

hi sir jbs, pasingit lang ako. i asked this before and 2 tsikoteers already gave me the info i need and im very thankful. i just noticed na 2.7 vvti din ang ride mo. do you mind if i ask ilan ang average fuel consumption mo? btw, i was able to test drive the facelifted fort 2.7 vvti and i didn't noticed any "tag-tag". me and my wife even tried to seat at the back and ok sya for us. hindi naman naalog utak namin hehe. pansin ko lang na medyo mahina yung brakes. siguro dahil all disc brakes yung ride ko ngayon kaya nanibago ako.

hi sir matty. wala po ako kasi ngayon sa Pinas :-) pero po based dun sa display ng fort regarding sa fuel consumption it's appear 8 to 8.5 nung gamit ko po city and highway driving I don't know lang po how accurate un. regarding po sa tagtag di naman matagtag saka po sa tire nitro po ang gamit ko. but for sure di po kayo magsisi kung sakali mang mapili nyo ang fortuner :-)

i'm not sure where i read about 2012 fortuners came from, i just want to clarify if it is from thailand? or indonesia? it has been 3 months already yet my reservation for white 2.5 a/t is still not available from casa. just hope its not because of the flood of thailand.

I use the data from other toyota website, because the toyota Philippines website does not provide this info.

    Toyota - Fortuner Specifications

Gross vehicle weight : 2510 kg

Curb Vehicle weight : 1955 kg

So the maximum weight the fortuner can carry is abt 2510 - 1955 = 555 kg. Or abt 1050 lbs.

Not bad. Can carry 15 kg more than the avanza.
that weight is already enough, anyway your fortuner is only for family use, not for service and 7 persons with 70 kgs. each are enough, at kung fully loaded ka, maganda ang takbo n'ya, hindi matagtag... anyway thanks for the reminder at least puwede nating magamit yan for safety reason, the best talaga not to exceed the load.

I still use the fully synthetic from casa, pero ingat ka sa mga casa kasi meron casa na papalitan daw nila yung engine oil pero pag-dating mo sa bahay, check the dip stick, still the same, maitim yung langis. sa bawat pag-palit mo ng langis, lilinaw yan, but i experience it, i change it several times with the same casa pero when i check the oil, it is the same, maitim pa rin, sabi nila, ganon daw yon, kasi diesel nga, madali daw umitim yung langis, but my unit is still look brand new kasi 1 1/2 yr lang s'ya at bihira lang magamit, so, i try to transfer to another casa, ayaw nila sanang palitan yung langis kasi hindi pa raw schedule, kaso sabi ko maitim na yung langis, so pinalitan nila, sa casang nilipatan ko, at least don, kung pms lang ma-check mo kung ano ginagawa nila sa unit mo, so, nakita ko na pinalitan nila yung engine oil, hanggang sa dumating ako ng bahay, nung i-check ko yung oil, malinaw pa rin not like don sa dating casa, parang hindi sila nag-palit pero naka-charge yung engine oil which is too expensive kumpara sa labas. but since i want to keep my unit at its top performance, so, expend more..., kung bago pa yung unit mo and under waranty, don't use other oil kasi baka ma-void yung warranty, kung 5 yrs. or more then try other brand, sa isuzu pick up ko, i use top 1 fully synthetic, kahit 13 yrs. na s'ya, but every 3 mos. i always change it by my self, mabango ang usok ng top 1, medyo may kamahalan nga lang.
