Replaced air filter and refilled coolant for my 20k DIY PMS. Oil change with BT223 and ZIC next.



Wala akong reklamo sa pants day dahil for Christmas they have ELF DAY!!!!!!! Mapapabili ako ng OEM aircon filter neto :naughty2:

Hi. I'm new to the Vios thread, as I've been driving a Jimny. My wife just got a low mileage 2005 Vios 1.5 G A/T and I need some inputs. While I intend to eventually read the whole 800+ pages of this thread, am hoping you guys can give me inputs soonest.

1. What can I do for a better temp. gauge? The idiot light provided is just idiotic. I want a gauge that will warn me ahead of time that engine temp. is going up; not just something that tells me it's too late na.
2. Stock tires are 175/65/R14. Can I go taller 175/70/R14 na hindi sasayad?
3. My wife says stock headlights are too weak. What bulbs can I get that are stronger but not a heavy load on battery/alternator?

sir, i remember you posted in the jimny thread that you got an OBD reader right? baka pwede sa vios yan?

as for the H/L, try Osram Nightbreaker Plus

1. There are aftermarket temp gauges that put a sensor on your radiator hose.
2. I think 70s will be fine.
3. Try replacing the bulbs lang muna baka mahina na. Next step is a wiring harness. Kung mahina pa rin get Osram Nightbreakers or Philips X-treme vision stock wattage high output bulbs. Kung kulang pa din a proper HID conversion will be the ultimate solution.

1. Aftermarket temp gauges are an option. While you're at it, consider changing the coolant if it hasn't been changed in a while. Pa-inspect mo na rin yung condition ng radiator, water pump, etc..
2. I think si LSB has 185/70/14 tires installed on their Vios, so okay lang yun hehe.
3. Hindi pa ba faded yung HL lens? If not, Osram Nightbreaker Plus or Philips Xtreme Vision.

May nababasa nga pala ako na may "Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited" na? Parang better, updated version ng NBP. Kailan kaya dadating sa atin to? Planning to install Osram NBPs on my fogs kasi when I heard about this. Sayang naman if biglang may bago na pala.

Thanks to all you guys with inputs to my questions!

My wife is not tech-savvy so I guess an OBD2 setup for temp. is not too doable. Will look around for the aftermarket gauges, altho mukhnag medyo mahirap mag-mount ng gauge sa dashboard ng Vios (mahirap bagayan).

Am hoping for 185/70/R14 tires kahit GoodYear lang. Any other better brand for the same price? Baka masyado naka-lobo, so maybe 175/70/R14, if, as you guys say, di sasayad.

Thanks for the Osram & Philips tips, as well. Hope I can DIY this.
