carnage, go to Toyota Bel-Air (Buendia, just past Fire Station), and look for Gino Tan. Buy your RAV4 before the monthend, and I'm sure he'll fix up a really sweet deal for you.

I'm not sure how far he can go with the RAV4, but he gave me twice the discount given by other dealerships on a Revo. Sobrang nagulat ako sa good deal. You can reach him at 0917-8393561. He's just a fellow forumer at PinoyDVD. No harm in contacting him. Tell him Paolo of PinoyDVD referred you to him.

I can't divulge the discount packages (2 options) he gave me. It might get him in trouble with other dealerships. So contact him directly.

About the Tint pala, tama si boybi. Sobrang mahal ng P7,300! That's about twice the price na. You can get it under P4k for the RAV4, original 3M, one piece na front and rear windshields.

About the audio, better make sure about the warranty if you have them do the uninstall/install of your head unit. Minsan, basta may kinalikot outside the plant, void na warranty. Kahit pa man sa Toyota casa mismo. Have them double check this with their service advisor. Kung payag sila na intact warranty if they do it, better buy your own MP3-capable head unit, and have them replace lang existing Alpine HU. Take the stock Alpine HU, and sell them outside para maka-recoup ka sa expenses. You'll just end up shelling out 3-5k lang siguro (plus their service fee).

yup, free registration and rustproof. about the tint, sa labas na lang like in banawe. mahal sa casa. sa HU, i got the stock. then i sold it and got a better one. di naman void yun warranty.

boybi, thats actually an option i'm considering...to get other freebies in place of the tint and get 3M outside.

malabo sa banawe di ko kabisado lugar dun, may alam ba kayo sa makati or paranaque area?

re HU, sabi nila "extend" daw nila warranty kung gagawin nila.

cardo, magkano mo nabenta stock HU mo? pinagawa mo ba sa labas tapos ok pa rin warranty sabi ng toyota? sabi kasi sakin void daw. check ko nga uli sa kanila.

sa makati area, sa may cash and carry banda un tawid. sa may mayapis ata. or sa evangelista ka nalang mas marami choices dun, if d ka familiar sa banawe.

btw.. im interested din cardo kung magkano mo nabenta stock HU mo and where mo pinagawa pagkabit? i also have a rav4 SV nga lang.

my sis just got the new rav4 4x2 facelifted na Last saturday. Actually last october nung kakapass nung excise tax nagbigay na nung tip yung mga taga Toyota Dagupan na may lalabas na bagong model ng Rav4 so we waited kahit nagbaba na ng price rav4 noon to 948k.

Facelifted ... new headlights, tail lights, spare tire cover design and interior

Yung sa amin priced at 978k na pero nagbigay din sila ng cash discount na 10k.

As for the head unit may brother opted not to get the crappy HU (fujitsu 10 2DIN). We were offered the HU* of the 4x4 instead na Alpine pero sagwa din. Buti na lang pumayag yung dealer na ibawas na lang sa price kung di namin kunin yung HU. Less 15k ulit (ok na rin appraisal nila dun sa HU na Fujitsu 10)

with that money saved kukuha na lang kami ng Pioneer 7550 MP3 capable na priced at 15,200 hehe

As for the Tint buit nalang may solar guard sa Toyota Dagupan.. we got it at 50% off (more than 50% pa nga kase 1,000 na lang binayad for the tints all windows except the front windshield.

Ganun din sinabi nila di nila kaya buo tint sa harap visor lang... so dito na lang namin pagawa sa manila yung front windshield.

I still love my Gen1 CR-V over my sister's Rav hehe. ...2.0L vs 1.8 ... tapos RTAWD ok na rin kaysa wala hehe

On a related note... sa mga Rav4 owners out there... Ano alarm pinakabit ninyo? Keyless entry lang kase yung included sa 4x2...delikado na wala alarm.

Nasabi sa akin nung ahente ng Toyota Commonwealth noon na pwede daw i-adpat yung Code Alarm sa Key nung Rav4? has anyone tired this?

I prefer Clifford alarms ...pwede kaya yung Clifford matrix iadapt dun?

1. i'm picking up the new rav4 4x4 this week at toyota pasong tamo. list price is 1.178M and was given a discount of 20k (i'm paying cash). comprehensive insurance is 30k (was given a discount of 10K from orig price of 40k). free registration and underside rustproofing. am i getting a good deal or this is just normal for the dealers to give out discounts like this?

pre, it seems like you are getting a so-so deal. the toyota compre insurance that they offered me before was P28K for mga P1.3M Rav4. for this year, they are offering me P26K and my Rav4 will be valuated at P1.2M. also try to get a free car alarm. kahit chipipay ok na rin yun.

2. the tint that comes free with the unit is neovision(?) magic (they don't include the whole front windshield only the top portion of it). after learning that 3M magic is better i decided to opt for it but have to shell out additional 3700. reasonable? they said 3M for sides and back cost 7300 i didn't know its that expensive. btw, they said 3M will be available only in december because of some manufacturing problem the company had recently. so i'll be driving the unit without tints for the meantime. again, is the additional 3700 for 3M worth it?

neovision? baka galing pa yan sa banawe boys. what i got in my ride is 3M neutral magic all around for free. BS yang sinasabing december pa available and 3M.

3. i wanted an mp3 player. they said they can convert the alpine HU that comes with it so it can play mp3. estimated cost is 8k. does this sound right? is this cheaper than trading in the HU for a mp3 capable one? i have to let them do it so the warranty on electricals will not be void, right?

convert? i don't think that's a good idea. doesn't pasong tamo have any other stocks wherein you can trade-in your HU?
