In my case sir di ko na pinuwersa yung naiisip kong pang additional. Sabi ko sa SA na kung madadagdagan nya pa yung mga freebies, except for those that come as standard, e coconvert ko na lang as a TIP sa kanya. Hindi nya na rin naibigay. Sila din daw ang magsho shoulder.

*joey roo, congrats, enjoy your new car... ganyan talaga ang feeling ng me bagong laruan hehehe, and that also the same with me. Hinataw ko din up to 140 kph, pero pasundot sundot lang, maganda daw yun para ma unleash or maging smooth yung acceleration nya.

Bah, me balita na bang nagkabit ng VN turbo? Ganon yung nakakabit sa 2KD ng Hilux sa Indonesia o Malaysia. 130+hp.

re. VNT turbo in D4D INNOVA, my opinion is that its not the turbo, its the lack of an intercooler... w/ an intercooler plus proper ECU tuning the Hp & torque values of a 2.5 D4D (innova or fortuner) should be comparable of that to a 2.5 montero/strada... since our innova is much lighter and more of a car... it can out run mitsu pick ups & suvs

Our innova stock turbo is also much easier to maintain and much durable than a vnt type, the question is why Toyota didn't install one? specially in the fortuner... 102 PS geeezzz... cost cutting yet the selling price to the public is much more than a monty or everest ( all of w/c have an intercooler, although a small one )....

back to the innova... installing a intercooler needs additional pipings, w/c could be done in a fortuner since the 4x4 3.0 has it.... might be a problem for the innova... solution ??? KNN filter, Alcohol Injection kit (works as an intercooler)... w/ it the power will comparable to the montero...w/ uni-chip upgrade??? you will leave SUV's twice its price in the open road. btw, don't forget to upgrade the brakes...

hehehe... wala pa yata, sayang sana me option yung innova na 2.7 vvti like the taiwan version 160hp

since walang turbo yung vvti mas madugo yan ulike D4D puro bolt on lang ang upgrades w/ the stock turbo...

you ca try I/H/E set up sa vvti innova but the cost isn't worth the gains... hmmm supercharger + AI + uni-chip kaya????

Hehehe baka magliparan ang rocker arms ng VVTi if you use turbo

Shim type ang rocker arms ng VVTi not like the old school rocker arms na nakatuhog na parang barbecue sa shaft. Nakapatong lang ang rocker arms sa valve pins at push rods at naka-ipit lang sa ibabaw ng overhead cam shaft. Nakita ko ito ng magpalit ako ng cover gaskets 1 & 2., ang ganda pala ng cylinder head ng VVTi, it was my first view of a shaft less and no adjustment screw rocker arms kaya pala sabi ng Service manager sa akin walang valve clearance adjustment ang Innova 2.0 vvti. Kaya importante na alaga sa malinis na langis dahil dito dumedepende ang galaw ng push rods at cams overhead oil sprayer.

With stock configuration, hindi bitin ang Innova D4D sa arangkadahan. Just today, I read a post sa Diesel Fuel Injection System Helpdesk ni Dieseldude about busted Injection Nozzles (with pictures) caused by electronic tweeking (similar to this). Speedlab seems to have a good reputation but for me, it's not wothwhile. Hindi naman pangkarera ang innova. It's just my two cents. Peace!!

It's just me who wanted an extra buffer of torque when it is needed, a split second is all it takes when your on a tight situation, nevertheless, defensive driving must also be on top of your mind specially in our road traffic conditions. Peace.

Hi Mike, I agree with you on defensive driving. Nakita ko rin yung sa Unichip noon pa and I was contemplating on it pero nanghihinayang ako sa Php30K+ na magagastos, and then, that very recent post on busted fuel injectors (which are not cheap by the way). Peace bro.
