August 12th, 2013 08:13 AM #7212Balik ka ulit sa manual hehehe... Pero kidding aside, wag mo bibiglain acceleration mo, you may accelerate very slow pero at least nakakabwelo yung engine mo before magshift ng gear transmission mo.

Sir, my two cents worth. Most of the time I hear the line "walang control ang driver sa shifting ng AT." Pero ang totoo sir the driver has full control of the gears. You are driving an AT but you have to drive it like MT.
Baka naman pre-mature pa at tendency is tapakan lalo ang accelerator therefore not fuel efficient.
As the road condition changes, you have to shift to other gears also, kaya nga may 3-2-1 sa setting eh, di pwedeng laging nasa D. Use N also pag nakatigil. Others don't move from D and nakatapak lang sa brakes.

pansin ko rin sa AT ng nadrive ko (honda city idsi 2002) need mo release yung accelerator kung gusto mo magshift ng within 2k rpm, kundi deretso sya above 2k before magshift.

yes, but.... kinda defeats the purpose of why you thought you got the AT in the first place... "popcar-driving", 'di ba? (others call it "bumpcar driving", but i think that's a little too radical ..)
by its very design, in everyday use, AT almost always will give worse fuel efficiency than the MT equivalent.. "sliippage"...Last edited by dr. d; August 12th, 2013 at 09:48 PM.

August 13th, 2013 06:30 PM #7220Shifting is not only RPM dependent, it is also dependent sa momentum ng car mo, kaya nga mas maigi sa manual transmission, kasi you can feel the right momentum when to change gear.
Yung sinasabi sa manual na right RPM when to shift ay para wag ka mag over revolution therefore not consuming unnecessary fuel, pero wala naman sinasabi when to actually shift at the right speed or momentum.
A relative of mine in Canada had his Scion FR-S PPF'd and then had it ceramic coated. He says it's...
