    that's normal.
but allow me to recommend my procedure..
"when parking, step on the brake when your car reaches its intended position.
then put the stick to "N".
    then apply the hand brake.
only then, do i release the foot brake.
then put your stick to "P".
then turn off engine and pull out key.

the "P" is not really intended as the main brake in parking. it is not strong enough, and can be damaged should the vehicle be forcibly moved.

and in some cars, the key may not be pulled out if the "P" position is not engaged.
wow. thanks for this info sir doc.. btw ang gnagawa ko naman ay full stop then hold sa brake then handbrake then shift to P. sometimes di umaalog sometimes umaalog sya. never ko pa natry ang brake N hand brake P. matry nga pag nailabas na sa casa si innova ko. ehehe.

tsaka iniisip ko minsan. pag nawalan ng preno. at di kumagat ang hand brake pag wala na si preno. sa shift to P will forcely stop the car? or masisira ang trans nito? minsan sa sobrang kacuriosan ko parang gusto ko itry ishift to P while running hahaha. :p

My 2008 Innova vvti automatic had some cracking sounds below the engine and the mechanic said the catalytic converter is the culprit. So the mechanic removed the catalytic converter and the annoying sound is gone. My question is, would its removal have an effect on the engine performance? I was told that the car has 2 catalytic converters, so the removal of one of them would have no effect at all....Is this true? has anyone done this to his car?...

and i never thought the innova had a catalytic converter..
oh well... we live and learn..

cracking sound..? there are many possible sources of cracking sounds.. in my home.. marami puno dito.. cracking branches..
so what did your mechanic do, cut away the catalytic converter, and install a segment of tubing and welding both ends ?

I need to replace my 6 y/o yokohama aspec stock tires (56k odo).

Came across goodyear assurance triple max with kevlar elements daw. Selling for 3700/pc. vs 4k/pc on the yokohamas.

Does anyone here use the goodyear assurance? Or would it be better to stick with the yoko?

    Let me correct that.

    November 2014 pala ako kumuha.

and 1000 lang yung petron gas card na free, per pair nga.

pero may 1 year AAP membership.

about the thread wear, bihira na magamit yung innova kasi pang coding na lang namin ni utol

kaya parang bago pa din. Yung noise, for me parang same lang nung yokohama na OEM.

fuel level warning or sedimenter warning? dalawa po yun..

but if it is the sedimenter..
back when my innova's sedimenter warning light turned on, i did what the manual said. no effect. in frustration, i bought an entire filter assembly with housing and replaced mine. ayun.. namatay rin.
some time ago, in these threads, someone gave instructions on how to "re-boot" that circuit, without having to replace anything.. search for it, sir.. sayang din ang 2.5K..

hi. nakuha ko na kanina ang car documents from the bank for my 2nd hand innova. question po, the original OR and CR provided by the bank was dated 2013. however, the photocopy provided by the previous owner to me is the one dated with the original purchase date which was 2012. is this ok?

yung documents nga pala na pinrovide ni bank ay as follows:
    1. orig OR dated 2013
    2. orig CR dated 2013 (encumbered to bank)
    3. promissory note with chattel mortgage
    4. release of chattel mortgage

Also, ito ang advise ni bank:
    1. Go to registry of deeds. not sure saang branch ito kasi hindi clear ang stamp.
    a. is this a must?
    b. anong disadvantage if hindi ko na ito icomply?
    c. how much kaya ang estimate costs ng "government fees"?
    2. Go to LTO. parang magiissue daw sila ng new CR without encumbrance.
    a. pwede bang isabay ko na lang ito sa transfer of ownership?
    b. since newly renewed lang din ang car sa LTO, plan ko is isabay na lang early next year ang transfer of ownership, registration renewal and yung sa New CR without encumbrance, is this ok?
