Just had my 1k PMS sa TMBC. Cost is around 1.8k. Innova J Diesel m/t.
I will be having my 1k PMS this friday. Im thinking of getting Fully Synthetic. Konti na lang ang price difference from Semi Sythetic eh. Will it be alot better or pareho lang din?
And Im thinking of getting a Spoiler with LED. Tapos naisip ko may built in stop lamp na pala yung Innova G. Steady lang ba na yun at yung Spoiler with LED?
TIA!
Taxi eh, mayabang ang driver. Ako pa pagbayarin ng damge sa kanya, yaan ko nga sya. Kinatapusan eh sya pa nagbayad sa akin kasi paso license nya.
My Innova have fully synthetic oil out of the casa but I shifted to mineral oil from 1K to 15K kilometers (around 1.5 years for me).
From 15K kms onwards, I shifted back to synthetic.
I just followed some guys (or a guys here). Si yebo ata yun.
Allow the engine to further break in especially the valves to properly seat over time using mineral oil for the first 15k kms.
Any Shell Rimula R4x users here?
I shifted to mineral Rimula R4x 15w-40 from fully synthetic Helix Ultra E 5w-30 as an experiment. FS oil gamit nung D4-D M/T ko eversince.
Results: Low-end torque was improved; less noise once the engine heats up (medyo maingay lang sa unang start since 15w-40 siya); more power on overtaking on normal driving conditions.
Pero napansin ko lang kapag going to 100+ kph at NLEX medyo di na kasing responsive yung engine unlike nung naka-FS siya. While it still can hit 120-140 kph, medyo may resistance na siya plus it takes a longer time to pick up speed. Parang nagsuffer yung top-end speed nya.
Has anyone experienced this? Pashare naman po ng feedback. TIA![]()
i've been using mineral oil since forever.. ever since our old car's engine leaked when we tried synthetic oil...
i read somewhere some time back, that to be really "improved", one has to have numbers to back them up.
words like improved, feels like, better and such, are so subjective one can not entirely rule out psychological suggestion effect (placebo effect)... don't get me wrong. i am not negating your experience. i am also looking for a really good product, but we have to ... you know..
heck, i probably get the same "benefits" from a simple oil change.. notice how the engine seems "improved", fresh out of an ordinary oil change?
happy driving.
Thank you dr.d
Indeed, my experience was subjective, and since it would be the 1st time I'm using a mineral oil, those little "changes and adjustments" in my driving experience are noticeable for me since I'm using my innova as my daily driver. Numbers do play a role for technical comparison, but I guess I won't go that far.
I've read good reviews on mineral oils here, and I just want to give it a try. Next time I'll try another oil, maybe TOP 1 SDO, Mobil delvac or Caltex DGU for comparison.
More or less, what I did with our rides, based on the input of a reliable petroleum engineer from our Hyundai Club (THP).... The rough texture of the mineral oil will assist the valves to properly seat over a few thousand kilometers,- afterwhich,- time so switch to semi/synthetic oil....

Actually what Shell was recommending in their poster....
Synthetic initially >>> then to semi-synthetic and finally to mineral...
And to me, that was the explanation,- so that there will be no leak of engine oil for old(er) engines
Your choice on any of these school of thoughts.....

Anyone here using Euro4 diesel from Unioil? I'm still backreading the thread (page 548 pa lang ako) and also the Unioil thread (kaya lang medyo luma na ang discussions). I'm hoping to hear the experience from long time users. I'm currently using Caltex Diesel for my 2015 Innova J m/t.
mga ser
same lang ba ung regular oil sa mineral oil?
nasa 3-6 years old period na ung innova ko, more on hiway driving, so recommended ay mineral oil? or regular oil?
salamat po
happy new year po
Our Innova is gas.
However for our GS,- I use Euro4 diesel of UniOil, for more than a year now.... In my limited experience, I'd say that the engine is more quiet... fuel consumption is about the same as my previous fuel brand,- which was the regular diesel of Shell....

i have question..
my 10 year old innova's headlight (supposed to be) clear plastic is now starting to get cataracts.. clouding up.. the light beam is not as bright anymore.
can this be cleaned or rubbed away, or am i destined to buy new headlight assembly? mukhang labas at loob surfaces kasi...
