Just got back last Saturday sa Toyota Manila Bay para ikabit ang central door lock and alarm. So far ok naman, satisfied naman kao. I paid 3,400 para sa alarm na "Terminator" ang brand. Although alam ko na around 3k lang ang alarm sa labas ng casa ay sa loob ko na lang pinakabit para hindi ma-void ang warranty, tutal sabay naman sa pagkabit ng central door lock which I got for free. Naikabit na rin ang rain guard.

Pina ulit ko iyong rust proofing kasi last week ay may parts na hindi dumikit sa ilalin ng wheel well dahil sa nag-washing kaagad kahit hindi pa tuyo ang rust proofing. Nung ibinalik ko ay nilagyan naman nila kaya lang ay iyong mga nakikita lang. Kaya sumama ako sa depot nila at pina-ulit ko. Nag insist na lang ako na lagyan ako ng second coating ng buong ilalim. Siguro para hindi na makulitan sa akin ay buong ilalim talaga ang ni-rust proof nila, pati ang chasis. Downside eh enclosed ang lugar kaya iyong fine tar vapors ay dumikit sa paint ko. Kinailangan pa na tanggalin nila using kerosene. I know na hindi pa lahat natangal kaya baka ako na lang ang gagawa bago ako mag complete wash and wax.

At...nakalimutan ko pa rin kunin ang EWD ko. Pagbalik ko na lang sa 1k.

Speaking of 1k PMS:

1) ano ang dapat kong abangang na gagawin nila,
2) ano ang dapat kong iwasan/huwag ipagawa sa kanila
3) how much ang expected na gastos. Balak ko ay mineral oil muna hanggan 5k, then shift ako to semi-synthetic after 5k.

Nasa 1600-1800 lang sir ang standard part(s) cost ng 1k PMS. Change oil and filter lang naman gagawin nila plus couple of inspection. Huwag ka ng magpagawa/palit ng iba pa.

Kakainis, may small scratch sa hood ko. Hindi ko alam kung saan nanggaling. Any tip on how to remove or "hide" it?

Pansin ko lang while driving meron mild burnt stench ako naamoy.

Hindi ko alam saan galing. Basta pasumpong sumpong sa buga ng aircon amoy minsan.

Pag open mo ng engine bay amoy din ng konti.

Again not that strong ha, pero may amoy talaga.

Ano kaya yun?

Amoy nasunog na langis o goma?

Kung amoy sunog na langis, check for possible fluid leak na pag pumatak sa hot parts ah nasusunog.
Kung amoy goma = clutch?

Check the body of the engine, kung may traces ng langis.... Minsan hindi lang mahigpit ang pagkaka-seal ng engine top cover...

Was there a recent case when you have to adjust the rocker arms (and in so doing, you needed to remove the engine top cover?)

Bro never naman ginalaw yung engine top cover. Kaya very unusual and disturbing bakit amoy sunog na langis.

I checked the oil level via dip stick normal naman yung oil level ko. Possible sa loob kaya nasusunog?

Possible worn-out gasket bro....... Not sure....

Basta,- check the engine body for any trace of oil... Madaling makita iyan dahil may mantsa,---

Or, upon turning off the engine,- open the hood and check if there is trace of smoke and where it is coming from...

The last thing i have done sa innova is pinalitan oil sending unit. Change oil and filter na din.

May kinalaman kaya yung pagpalit ng oil sending unit?

perhaps you should open the engine bay and look around, feel around, handle the cables, wirings and insulations with your hands.. baka may nakasayad sa mainit na parte ng makina o exhaust system at nasusunog... use a strong light..
do the same, following the exhaust system as it goes under the vehicle.

seems like lahat kayo same ng diagnosis, yung mga nakausap ko din ganyan ang sinasabi.

much better ba if naka lifter yung oto? mas madali ko ba makikita? naked eye ang hirap mahanap habang open lang yung hood.

another thing umiinit ba agad yung exhaust? lets say saglit mo lang pinaandar yung engine?
observation ko kasi nilabas at pinasok ko lang yung oto sa garahe amoy agad eh.

If that was the last thing that was done with your vehicle,- then it is the most likely culprit....

Start checking that area bro.
