Sorry for the questions, medyo concerned lang kasi ako.

as for the rear, theoretically yes a larger surface area will stop better than that of a smaller one. has there been a difference in the surface area of the front pads? - i doubt. i could be wrong though. can you validate my assumption?
Sorry sir di ko pa nasubukan ung malapad na brake shoe, si sir mile2 ang makakasagot nyan sa tanong mo.

eto sir yung post ni sir mile2:

When changing to Bendix brake shoe, it is a must to reface the brake drums. Toyota OEM brake shoe lining is narrower by 1/4 inch on each side and this creates a deep canal on the brake drum. Bendix brake shoe lining is almost the same width with respect to the brake shoe itself.

Note: Don't use R-Spec pads (P750), very poor grip.

Advantage na yan sir kasi kilala mo ung owner. Ask mo lang yung history ng car nya para at least may idea ka on how he used / abused his innova . Take note also sa condition ng tranny at A/T oil. It should be changed every 40K or less. Much better kung may sarili kang mechanic para mag check. Mine is also a 07 2.5E A/T, so far so good at 81k ODO (never experienced those so called D4D problems )

    Good luck!

check mo mabuti baka may issue ng stalling or chocking yan. kung ilan na tinakbo at kung properly maintained. just curious also, magkano ba bentahan ng 07 na Innova.

Ok lang kaya undercoating sa gasoline station? especially yung Shell na undercoating...mga how much kaya?
    TIA.

I just looked at our D-4D and in my observation, isn't it a bit of a crowded when in comes to removing and installing the oil filter? Any comments?

i asked petron blue wave how much would they charged for undercoating, they said 3k for 3M. i haggled it at 2.5K but yet to have mine service.

likewise, they are the one responsible for the rustproofing of vehicles purchased from toyota manila bay because it is owned by one and the same owner.

    hope this help,

yes, it is very difficult to remove. that is why, my mekaniko punctures it with a small pitchfork from the top. then it becomes very easy. screwing the new one is easy, however, as it requires only hand-tightness.

He punctures the filter to make it leak oil first before removing? Making the oil leak out first makes the cartridge easier to remove by hand ?

i think what the mechanic does is puncture it and use the puncturing tool as a lever to turn - i haven't seen a d4d upfront, but this is how imagine how he does the removal...

Can you verify the width of the bendix brake shoe against the width of the oem brake shoe? 1/4" width difference is quite a lot for a brake shoe...

    fellow innova owners,

anyone who has a DIY instructions sa pagtanggal ng sidings hiding the rear aircon evaporator?gusto ko sana i-check at linisin. ang alam ko kasi walang filter yun eh like the one in front na may cabin filter. May nag-post dito dati but i cant find it anymore. Ang nakita ko lang dito sa forum ay yung dashboard removal. thanks in advance!

Its not possible. It is more than the keys. You need a system control module and etc...

Casa prices are quite expensive. The only thing going for the casa is that if the customer won't take the risk of having alarm installed outside, then having the casa install the alarm will avoid any warranty violation(s).

Well you are lucky. When we got our green D-4D M/T "E" last month, we didn't get any of those you mentioned. If I were you, I will tell the agent to give a Solex tire spare tire lock instead of the alarm or the backup sensor or even both. The spare lock from Toyota casa is better than the copies being sold outside. Better and priced lower alarms and backup sensors are readily available outside.

    - Thank you chief.
