Design flaw kaya ito ng brake system ng Innova? Has anyone brought this to Toyota's attention? Pag-OEM brake shoe ba ang ipinalit, kailangan pa ding mag pa-reface?
Sorry for the questions, medyo concerned lang kasi ako. Kung everytime na magpapalit tayo ng brake shoe eh kailangan magpa-reface ng brake drum, baka naman numipis agad ng sobra ang brakedrum natin?![]()
Hi All Innova users,
I'm just new here with tsikot. Already read a lot of post for Innova D4D. There's pros and cons.
I 'm planning to get a 2011 Innova E Manual this end of month and i have some questions.
1. Is it good to go to buy 2011 Innova E D4D Manual or Matic give most of the time I will be out of town?
2. Which is better in long drive? in terms of fuel consumption and maintenance?
3. Which is the best Inssurance to get? In Toyota they are giving Poples General, some said Fedral Phoenix, outside Toyota Malayan
4. In Insurrance coverage, which package will I get? 100k TPL Liability with lower price or 500k TPL with 7k price difference?
5. In Keys, can I request to have the jeys the same with the Key less Entry of Innova G? Is it possible in Innova E? how much will I add?
6. In Alarm, is it better to buy the higher price that was offered to me by Toyota? 6++k vs. 3++ k?
BTW, I will be getting a free alarm, and back sensor besides the normal freebies and hopefully I will get the fog lamps for free also.
TIA![]()
yeah, stopping innova is a PITA sometimes. how much is the score with a set of bedix pads (fr) and shoe (rr)? where did you get these items?
as for the rear, theoretically yes a larger surface area will stop better than that of a smaller one. has there been a difference in the surface area of the front pads? - i doubt. i could be wrong though. can you validate my assumption?
You dont need to reface the drum by default. The reason why the other guys needed to reface their brake drum is because the old brake shoe already ate some of the metal from the drum thus making a groove. The new brake shoe has a slight wider width and the groove made on the drum is smaller, thus it is required to reface the drum to make the surface even. If the new shoe is similar to the width of the old shoe, drum reface won't be needed.
If its for highway travel, the manual is better bec. it has an extra higher gear (5th gear vs. 4th gear in Automatic trans.). This translates to lower revs therefore better fuel consumption.
Maintenance-wise, they are similar. The manual might require some service with clutch (depending on the driver if they know or dont know how to modulate it properly, affects the clutch's life).
Its not possible. It is more than the keys. You need a system control module and etc...
Casa prices are quite expensive. The only thing going for the casa is that if the customer won't take the risk of having alarm installed outside, then having the casa install the alarm will avoid any warranty violation(s).
Well you are lucky. When we got our green D-4D M/T "E" last month, we didn't get any of those you mentioned. If I were you, I will tell the agent to give a Solex tire spare tire lock instead of the alarm or the backup sensor or even both. The spare lock from Toyota casa is better than the copies being sold outside. Better and priced lower alarms and backup sensors are readily available outside.
Good pm! Just had my 1K PMS at Toyota Pasong Tamo this am and was charged P1631 for regular oil used.
Afterwards, went to Zeibart to get a quote for their diamond gloss They have a promo til July15 at 10% discount (from P7.2k to P6.4k)
During inspection, they discovered 2 things - 1) wala raw rust proofing ang ilalim; and 2) the rubber strip on the roof is warped (halos matatangal na) Are these chargable to the warranty?
Then, they offered me a 20% discount on both diamond gloss & rust proofing package (from P18k+ to P14k+)
Is this a good deal?
Had the window frame of my Innova J painted flat black... saw sa casa that the black window frame of G model is done by tape na lang, but is not being offered sa casa
Wanted sana to show the before & after, but i dont know how to post pics...hehehe
All bnew car comes with factory rustproofing. maybe they are referring to undercoating. I'll be more concerned on the rustproofing inside door panels and running boards. i believe its included in their package. ang ayoko ko lang dun is they drill holes to apply the rust proofing. but your vehicle is still bnew and should be covered by warranty for the next 3 years including rust.
OEM shock absorber for front is 2,800 in pasay partstar, I have already replace my 2 rear shock absorber 750/pc.
