thanks Mile2 for bringing this up... it surely is a valid concern... after reading your post... i immediately asked my hubby to look under our baby j... true enough, the fuel tank is lower than the chassis and has the tendency to be subjected to bumps, stones hitting it causing it to crack, etc... i will bring this up with my SA on my 5K PMS... will also consult with hubby's colleague who's into metal fabrication.

I checked it also while cleaning my ride. May additiional protection naman sa frontal impact. Eto yung transmission support. Mas mababa kaysa sa fuel tank. Ingat lang talaga sa malalalim na lubak.

So true, and the fuel tank itself has frontal cover/protector. The problem was if you drive or pass by a huge and bulky humps it will not hit the transmission support, the bulky humps will hit the under carriage middle parts and the fuel tank for sure., and this were the problem will start. The fuel tank is made of rigid steel sheet, so even a small dent can make cracks.

It would be better to put another metal sheet protector underneath the fuel tank to prevent dents.

I have stepboard installed and way lower than the fuel tank, but still the fuel tank got hit????

I may have worry less about it if the fuel tank is not lower than the chassis.

hi, just got our innove E M/T this january 12. totoo ung sa driver side airbags pero ung ABS i think sa G or V model lang ata siya available. about yung sa D4D problems nagtanong din ako niyan dati bago kmi kumuha ng unit pero marami ang nagsabi dito na lhat ng 2006 model above ay solve na ung problem,, may nag advice din sa akin na refill your fuel at a standard refilling station at hindi sa iba-iba para hindi maghalo yung diesel,,..so if you will have your unit refill at a standard station

There's an additional device near the brake master, open the hood and you'll see it. If you don't know what it looks like, a mechanic can show it to you.

Finally got my Innova G AT diesel yesterday and it was one hell of an experience I had with my car dealer.


Bad:

1. They asked me the last minute to bring COC for tpl registration which I did not have since the bank said they will forward everything.

2. They called me to advise that I need to pay an additional of P2500 for registration as there was a misquote and the SA will be asked to pay for it if I dont do so.

3. I left my mobile phone in the lounge and realized it 2 kms before I reached my home after getting my unit.

All of these happened January 26 when I am just suppose to get the unit and drive home a happy man.


Good:

1. I stood my ground saying that I was assured by the bank that they already forwarded everything and they gave in.

2. I advised them that I will not pay a single centavo for additional as it was not my fault that they made a mistake in the quotation.

3. A customer found my mobile phone and returned the same to my new Sales Executive (her name is Shay and kinda pretty na rin as I refused to talk to my former SE ) I called my lost phone and it was her pretty voice who answered and said that my phone was with her. I immediately went back and thanked the customer who happens to be the driver of a Coke executive. His name is Rey Nicolas and told him twas rare for someone to return a phone nowadays.

4. They installed the rain gutter (tama ba?) or rain guard and I never ordered for it.Kept my silence and just took it as a small token.

5. Filled up my new baby and it says in the fuel range it can do 444kms with its current load and my driving. Driving was so pleasurable and its just the car-like suspension of my Escape that I kinda miss. Other than that, I love the torque that I get!!!

Read the manual and it says it has impact sensors? hUH? Based on the reading that I have done here, there is none. Am i right? Tried hitting the door pillar with an axe (kidding!) and there was no alarm. Hmmmm, let me see now....

Also, it clearly states on the manual that I need to stay in idle for about 2 minutes before I switch off the engine if I drove more than100kph during cruising. You also have to wait till the pre-heat sensor go off before you start the engine. Talk about first days blues!!! Now I know better.

Brought the kids to MOA together with our newest member Kimi (lhasa Apso)whose picture I am attaching.

Overall, I love the Innova and its ride. Thumbs up to all the owners

just got an innova e m/t gas metallic beige
so far ok ang ride...medyo i am getting used pa sa clutching and sa dimension ng innova (i am used sa sedan type).

i'd like to have some add-ins and accessories but i don't like my warranty void.
so probably i'd buy and install it sa casa (i'm from iloilo so banawe is not an option). please help sa costings.

1. alarm and keyless entry
2. chrome rear view mirrors (with signal lights)
3. chrome door handles
4. the mirror thing at the rear view mirror (i really need those thing in back up)
5. side protection mouldings

FYi, Toyota sold more than 45,000 units last year. 10,544 units ay Innova .Imagine, ang dami na natin kaso kaunti lang tayo pag nag-EB...hmmm... calling new and old owners of Innova. Join lang kayo sa EB para mas masaya
