My main problem with that assumption from Uly is that he only used highway figures when regen of hybrids doesn't really work when you are not using the brakes much.

But, we don't have the testing for city yet done by any reviewer for city driving so I can't really complain much as they were all assumptions for that part.

I would also like to add, we need to (at least) put a price tag on Toyota Safety Sense to see how "different" the price is from the TOTL 1.6 Gas Altis. So it is 1.185million (no TSS) vs 1.580million (with TSS).

I'm honestly on the camp of wait and see for now, plus a test drive.

I'd like to see somewhat the extreme conditions we get here for city driving, average speed of around 11-12kph only to a high of 13kph average. What would also be the FC of the 1.6 vs the Hybrid in those stop and go conditions.

My brother owns the 1.6VVti altis and in those conditions, he can only get around 6km per liter max. Granted it is the non-Dual Vvti engine but I'm assuming it will be similar for the Dual VVti and not exceed 6.5km/l. What would the hybrid get in that regard, especially since it can regen in stop and go traffic? That would be an interesting discussion.

Best to ask local owners of the Prius. I don't even know one. That car is worth more than the Camry locally.

May sense ba kunin yung Hybrid? Mababawi mo ba yung almost 500k na price difference niya sa top of the line version ng gas model ng latest Altis?

Factor the cost & warranty of the hybrid batt. Ph only gets 5yrs?[emoji37]The standard 8yr/160k km would've been more assuring.

This was what caught my attention as well. I do hope the media/press bring this up repeatedly as I find it a bit unfair that Toyota PH gives the least coverage for something that needs to have a warranty of at least 8 years for some peace of mind as you did decide to trust in THEIR technology.

Mahal ng battery. Hindi bababa ng $3k. Mabuti sana kung mura din ang hybrid model. I’d just stick with the cheaper 1.6L.
