June 19th, 2015 07:22 AM #2611I was actually looking for a second hand car, not necessarily Altis. My manager here in the office told me to speak with his friend from Toyota Pasig. She gave me a good deal bro kaya ayun, kinuha na namin
There are quite a number of guys here who would suggest not to baby your brand new car kase factory break in na sya. Just make sure that before your first 1k KMS di lalagpas ng 2k RPM, and not to stay on the same speed for a long time. I also learned that going over 100kph before the 1k KMS is ok as long as it's not for a long period of time, and yun nga, varying speeds, pwede over 100kph, then 90, 80, etc.

Ok lang lumagpas ng 2000 rpm even before the 1000 km PMS. In 6th gear, 2000 rpm is just 80 kph.
Just avoid hard acceleration (redline shifts) and don't push the car to its top speed (around 200-210). Going 160-180 at a moderate rate of acceleration (i.e. just in 6th gear over a really long stretch of highway) is actually ok.

June 19th, 2015 11:30 AM #2614need help guys gusto ko na sana alisin sa casa yung altis ko pag dating ng 20k kms niya. college student lang kasi ako with a puny allowance. ayoko naman mag ipon ng 7-10k every 3 months kasi sayang naman pwede na pang mods ng kotse yun at bihira lang umabot ng 5k kms every year. ang tanong kunwari may tok sound or any issues hindi naman related sa engine, maclaim ko ba sa warranty? TIA

Wait.. you're willing to sacrifice warranty in exchange for mods budget?
You may want to consider long term possible expenses first.
Yes you may claim that tok sound under warranty. Matagal nang issue yang tok sound na yan dunno kung may naging successful fix na ba sila about it.

You are willing to save for mods but not for casa maintenance?
Why aren't your parents paying for the maintenance? I assume that they bought you the car and are aware of the cost of owning one. Kaya nga MOST people buy brand new e for the warranty and you are willing to forego this.
If you only run 5k per year. 15k pa lang out of warranty ka na (year 3)

June 19th, 2015 02:34 PM #2617Medyo willing ako kasi bihira lang naman byahe ko so siguro di ako magkakaproblem sa engine and kaya ko naisip yun kasi matibay naman ito kaya toyota pinili ko

June 19th, 2015 03:08 PM #2619Ay mam 10k kms po pala or 1 year sorry typo po. Ok sana if casa will allow me to bring my own oil and then warranty will be kept.
