You can try this trick(I did on my 9th gen altis), its a bit difficult, but it will surely eliminate guesswork when tyring to adjust the latches. First remove the felt and plastic cover of both upper and lower latches. You will now see the bolts that secure the latches to the trunk and body. Partially loosen the bolts but NOT FULLY that would it cause the latches to lose their correct alignment. Now close the trunk and go in the car and pull down the 60/40 back rest. Have a small guy crawl through the opening and gain access to the bolts. With the trunk closed, loosen the bolts fully so the latches could adjust to its 'lose' position. Retighten the all the bolts. Good luck !
    'loose' sorry, my bad.[/QUOTE]

Sir gma11 thanks for the suggestion! I'll have to remove the carseats first for this DIY. Thanks again

Were you able to view the entire maintenance process sir? And did you call for appointment? Planning to have my next PMS there instead.

Yes bro. Nakadisplay dun sa LCD while I'm in the waiting lounge - change oil and filter, adjust handbrake, then I asked them to try the lugnuts that were given to me for my spare tire (since my new rims' nuts don't fit the stock rims).

You still have to add the cost of motor oil.

Ah buti pa dun... Sa pasig kase di kita eh. Not that I'm an expert but it would be nice to see and learn a thing or two. And see how they treat the car while doing maintenance din hehe! By the way, they didn't mind the changing of rims or anything?

Nope, sabi lang, "nagpalit ka na pala ng rims sir."

Hindi siya masisira if ihataw mo siya.

For the first 300 km or so, I drove at a sedate pace. No unnecessary revving. I reached 150 though cuz NLEX was wide open and I didn't notice my speed.

As the kms racked up I'd redline in 2nd and 3rd sometimes, but still no maintained hard acceleration. Then when I was at about 900 km, I accidentally got the car to 180 since I didn't know the EK Civic I was tailing was fast. It wasn't sustained for a long distance though.

Now, after my first 1000 PMS, no more babying, I can push the car as fast and as long as I want.
