tanong lang po sa mga 1.5G A/T variant:

napansin ko kc sa unit ko pag fully open ang back door, ok- mag light o mag appear ang open door indicator sa instrument panel. pero pag binaba ko na nawawala na ang indicator, eh hindi pa nga sya naka lock. palagay ko lang hindi normal ito. please any info from the other same avanza variant owners...

chief cguro enough na regarding sa chrome chrome na yan, we are not anymore talking about avanza anymore.... para close na yan...

regarding sa 3rd row, di ba na fold sya, ano nilagay nyo duon sa part na carpet coz nde kasama sya sa matting, dapat medyo matipis para kapag binaba mo ulit yung 3rd row walang problema sa lock...

yung sa akin sir di ko na ni l-lock eh, hinayaan ko na nakalapat ang 3rd row seat sa carpet yung hindi naka stand (yun ba tawag dun) para yung uupo dun sa likod di touch yung tuhod nila sa rear side ng 2nd row seat. medyo naka incline sya pero para sa akin ok lang at comportable na try ko na kc... para sa akin lang naman. Malaki tingnan di mukhang crowded ang mga occupants sa likod. Tsaka hirap din tumingin sa salamin

Same w/ me, ok naman yung matting...but what i noticed in almost 2 weeks driving....is i'm occasionally having difficulty shifting to reverse!
My cousin, na mga 1 week palang J variant had the same problem and he noted that the seltbelt sign is always on!

So, were planning to go to tyt san-pablo by next week!

ah sir ganun din ako.... akala ko naninibago lang ako pero ang hirap minsan pumasok ng reverse ginagawa ko shift ko muna sa first, muhang problem yun ah.... sir pag napaayos mo tell me here how.. or if it is just normal.

Report:

1) My first FC computation - 10.153km/L
byinahe ko ng batangas na may mahabang uncemented road
4 passengers at may mga baggage
shell unleaded 93 octane ang gamit ko
etong next refule ko, 95 octane na gamit ko
2) Unusually maingay ang steering wheel sa uncemented road. tapos parang may naririnig na ako na kalampag sa rear right ko ngayon. epekto yata nung rough road

3) Yun sa may malapit sa wiper na itim, ayaw lumapat miski anong try ko

4) Walang floor matting yung gitna ng 2nd seat row ko


Question:

1) natitigasan ako sa brake at late ang reaction/response. ibang-iba sobra sa corolla ko. feeling ko mabubunggo ako sa bagal lng response. talaga bang ganun?

2) nabasa ko sa manual ng kenwood stereo ko na parang pwedeng kabitan ng tv kasi may source sya na 'TV'. pano yun?

We already got our plate no. after 2 months and 4 days. We managed to use it for that period, our SA always renew the dates of our registration that's in Toyota Bicutan.

Piece of advise for entry level buyers, try niyo muna kasi used mini SUV like 2nd gen ng CRV for almost the same or less than the price of the new Avansa. For sure your money won't go to waste. Sa slightly used cars subok na, at kung meroon man naging problema nito when it came out of the casa, for sure it would have been fixed by the first owner.

Are you a used car salesman? This is an Avanza owners thread, yet you are trying to convince them that their purchase was bad and should buy a used car. Respect their choice to buy their vehicle since it's their money not yours.

I second the motion. Lupisak you can never compare a BNew Car to a 2nd hand car. I have been a 2nd hand car user for almost 5 years, kahit ano pang brand yun, routinary pa rin ang sira.

Sa brand new na ako, kung may defects man minor lang at easily repairable.

chill, guys. sa ganang akin, let's hear out what lupisak has to say. actually, medyo naraise na nya yan in one of his earlier threads, and I think he has valid points much as we, brand new owners, do. may lalabas at lalabas naman talagang mga issues ang bawat car owner. depende na lang kung gano ka ka-critical sa mga un at ano ang tolerance level mo sa mga ganun. then again, some vehicles may have more inherent defects than others. hehehe

but for the sake of friendly discussion and info of those who werent able to see your post, lupisak, baka pwede pa explain nga ung mga good points in owning a 2nd hand car (particularly the one you are endorsing) (both those u mentioned earlier and other points you may have missed out).

I guess the avanza owners too can voice out their side (if they wish to do so). I have my own thoughts about it and I have already raised them before. But for others, baka gusto nyo rin share un opinion nyo.

After that, let's us leave it at that. This is a fairly old topic bordering on the chicken-or-egg argument. It is up to the prospective buyer reading this thread to make up his/her mind whether to still buy an avanza or not (obviously, interested sya sa avanza, otherwise s/he won't bother reading the thoughts of the "cool" avanza owners in this thread. hehe). but if you ask me, let's just give avanza a chance to prove its worth in the market. tingin ko medyo premature pa to compare them side-by-side baka may lumabas pa ngang ibang problema hehe. who knows.

Now, for us, experiencing the common shifting problem, bottomline is it is already there. I personally hope to read more posts on how the said problem could be fixed.

FYI, I'm not a sales person of used cars, I just wanted to imply that before anyone let go of his hard earned cash, make sure they have done their home work. Believe me, I bought a brand new Ford Escape and has 12,000kms on it now, and I'm a frequent visitor of Ford casa claiming warranty of my car. How I wish I had known tsikot.com before so I would have broader knowledge choosing the right car. Then again, I hope all flaws would come out within this warranry period and be replaced, hoping my car will stabilize for the succeeding years to come.

Someboby's selling me a used 02' second gen CRV for P540k, with only 35,000kms on it. Also, just physically check the materials used on the interior of CRV compared to the Avansa J to see the difference. Should I choose the Avansa with the same price range over this used CRV? I guess you got my point..

So if the other people here buy a used car, can you guarantee that it won't have any defects? Apparently you are under the impression that a used car will have less problems than a new car. Keep in mind that a used car is only as good as how the previous owner cared for it. So just because that particular CRV works for you doesn't mean other members here will find one under the same condition for the same price. The problem with your post was you weren't just trying to state your opinion or inform other members. You were telling them that they made a bad purchase and attempting to convince others not to buy the car they want.
