our SA couldn't throw in anything else dahil hot unit daw yung avanza ngayon. ang lagay e dapat thankful pa kami at hindi kami pumila.

we also had a nudge gear and a bull bar (shark) installed. the shark saleslady gave us a huge discount na lang on the side visors. dapat free na yung visors if we got the stepboard kaso, hindi ko na kinuha dahil mababa na ang avanza as it is. kahit medyo may kamahalan nudge gear at bar, pinatulan ko na para walang issue sa warranty. the shark saleslady also promised na bibigyan kami ng discount if we get the sports bar installed (when it arrives).

natagalan lang kami sa paperwork kasi sa labas kami kumuha ng insurance. mas mura kasi. if you guys have a relative working in banks or in the insurance business, ask nyo sila dahil merong special rates ang employees atsaka pwede kayo makakuha ng huge discounts. i got ours from my sister - 14K insurance (for the vehicle and accessories) + TPL. tapos 90 days to pay. yay.

mabilis na yung releasing dahil i had my SA double-check lahat na ng problems na na-encounter ng mga tsikoteers before pa namin puntahan yung unit. so far so good. wala namang problems. 100% satisfaction ako sa unit na nakuha namin.

how much inabot yung mga accesories form shark? I was looking at their site wala pang update for avanza kahit yung sa carryboy and also pic naman dyan...... TIA

though Im not posting a message within 2 days Im still learning from each and everyone of you. I continuously reading your messages. Naiingit ako sa inyo kc ang level of discussion nyo na ay mga unit nyo na! Ako WALA PA RIN.... 4th week ko ng naghihintay sa champagne kooooohhhh!!!!

3600rpm at 85 kph siguro at 4th gear but not 5th (overdrive) gear. At that engine speed in 5th gear you should already be doing 100kmh.

At 120KMH, you're correct its 4000rpm na. BUT THIS IS FOR THE MT VERSION.

The AT version should even have LOWER engine rpms per road speed because its gearing ratio is taller, parang sedan na.

The Avanza is first and foremost a people loader so gearing was designed as such (high rpms).

Yung AT may torque converter so can get away with tall gearing. Here I posted the road speeds given the engine speed based on published gear ratios:

The figures for athe 1.5MT are based on calculations but actual figures for my unit is exactly the same.

Noise is not so bad. Toyota added a bonnet insulation to this reincarnation of Avanza. Actually at 100Kmh its just humming sweetly.

ah ok ganun pala...maybe hindi nkaoverdrive ung AT na nireview doon sa phil star kya gnun kataas ang rpm (80 kph at 3200rpm)..kse based sa pinakita mong other post ang 1.5AT is 97kph at 3000rpm...and sabi naman sa review running is still smooth at 120 kph..anyways thanks po sa info.

Hi digic,

Like I said in my previous posts, I am in the process of buying a 1.5 AT champagne avanza. I went to two Toyota dealers and applied for an in-house financing and was approved. However, I was told that I have to wait 3 months for the champagne color.

Not contented with the in-house finance interest rate, I walked in three days ago (wednesday) at a BPI branch and asked for the lowest possible interest rate. I inquired about the rate for a 60months term with 20% downpayment auto loan. I was talking to the bank manager and I was given a rate of 33.47%. And I thought that this is already the best rate around. So I applied for a loan. With this rate, the amortization is 13,787php. The manager also referred to me a Sales agent that she had made transactions with previously. The following day (thursday), I was called up by the manager to inform me that my loan application was approved. So I called up this SA that she gave me and luckily I was told that he could get me a 1.5 AT champagne avanza. So yesterday (friday), I went to BPI to pass the required documents. The bank manger then contacted the SA and gave him the go-signal that the unit will be bought. The SA then made the arrangments to pull out a unit from the Toyota plant. Today (saturday), the SA and me and my wife went to Toyota to meet with the SA and pay the LTO registration fee. The SA also showed us the unit assigned to us. The plan is to complete all transactions by monday and bring home the car on monday too

If all goes well by monday, I think this SA and bank manager would be good referrals

Let me know if you need their contact info and I'll ask permission from them to give out their contact info.

I think the only downside to my transaction is that I wasn't able to negotiate much for more freebies kasi alam ng SA na mahirap na color ang champagne. So just the standard freebies lang.

For those who want the champagne color or any other color, this SA might have some stocks....

Vicman, pasensya na pero medyo first time kong magdrive ng automatic..puro kasi ako manual. pano gawing overdrive ang gear? ano ang pinipindot or configure? pag naka-overdrive ba mas mataas consumption ng gas? ano ibig sabihin ng overdrive or ano ang nagagawa nyan? standard ba yan sa lahat ng automatic cars? pasensya na sa maraming tanong. maraming salamot po

actually wla talaga ko masyado alam sa overdrive or kung ano b tlaga silbi nun...

hehehe sorry...pero nasa manual un kung pano talaga gamitin ang over drive...base lang sa nlalaman ko kse car namin AT ngagamit ko un sa highway driving...pinipindot lang un sa shifter (kambyo)..karamihan ata ng AT me overdrive lam ko avanza meron nun pero ung mga gate type AT ata like fortuner and innova wala nun kse ndi ko makita eh ewan ko bakit ganun...dba karamihan ang AT 4 speed lang para un narin ang 5th speed mo eh ako kse ako pag nasa higher speed na mga 70kph inoON ko na ung over drive then ung rpm bumaba at the same time mkatipid narin ng gas...by the way hndi pa kami avanza owner maybe this midyear hehehehe sana mapilit ko na nanay ko...

Sa pagkakaalam ko champagne nga ay mahirap hanapin lalo pa't M/T ang gusto mo.... pero kung A/T di gaano, kc pakiramdam ko mas gusto ng mga pinoy ang traditional na M/T. Kagaya ko, nasanay ako sa M/T at madaming negatives akong nadidinig sa a/t kaya di ko ma try...di ko naman pede ibalik pag di ko nagustuhan!

Ang tanong ko ay....Ano ba talaga ang advantage at disadvantage ng bawat isa......??? May nagsasabi mahirap maintain, etc... etc...

Kc kung gugustuhin ko din lang may inaalok na sa akin ang SA ko at yung bank sa akin pero gusto ko kc ay M/T G....

Paki explain nga po sa akin?

sa amin ok naman ang AT...car namin na sentra 93 ok nman in terms of maintainance.ang prob lang nmin is ung alternator maybe dahil sa kakaengine wash palagi dati ng tatay ko...mahigit 14 yrs na car nmin na AT so far so good nman...
