Hindi ko pa nahawakan habang ginagamit ko kasi it's under the front passengers seat (it's a hard-to-reach area) while driving...hehehe

Try ko minsan hipuin kung masyadong umi-init...pero I guess it will, since the casing itself is a heatsink for the device.

My wife and I are planning to buy an Avanza sometime this September. Balak namin kunin ung 1.5G model na automatic. Innova sana pero medyo kapos sa budget. Sa mga naka 1.5G matic owners kamusta naman po ang Avanza nyo? Gas consumption? And also sabi kasi nila matatag or parang bouncy ride ang Avanza. Our Avanza will always travel from Manila-Pangasinan once/twice a week. Comfortable naman ba ang ride sa mga long drives?

Our Avanza will always travel from Manila-Pangasinan once/twice a week. Comfortable naman ba ang ride sa mga long drives?

FC for my A/T in heavy traffic is around 7 km/l. My cousin's APV gets 5 km/l in the same traffic. Highway not computed but seems to be very good. Guesstimate around 15 km/l, hataw speeds up to 140 kmh. Bihira ko maghighway with the Avanza kaya di ko macompute. Only complain ko sa highway ay medyo masayaw pagmay crosswind. But thats normal with any tall vehicle. Same complaint ng cousin ko with his APV.

Comfortable naman ang ride. Masmatagtag compared to a sedan. Keep tires inflated at around 30-32 psi and ok ang ride.

Depende po sa nakasanayan ninyo iyan o sa perception ninyo ng kung ano ang "matagtag" para sa inyo.

In my case, dahil nasanay sa old model na L-200 pickup, aba'y napakaginhawa na para sa aming mag-anak ang Avanza G A/T namin. Nagamit na po namin ito papanhik ng Baguio, at wala namang naging reklamo ang mga anak ko at si misis.

In fact, parang hindi man lang ako napagod kahit 4hours straight ang biyahe, at first time ko pang magmaneho nang ganoon kalayo at katagal.

Ayos talaga ang Avanza!

Pero mas maigi siguro sir kung mag-test drive kayo, para naman walang sisihan kung sakali. hehe.

Hindi naman gas guzzler ang Avanza G A/T, lalo na kung palaging long drive sa highway. Doon siya pinakamatipid! In my case, medyo nag-sa-suffer ang FC ko dahil 10 ang humps ng subdivision namin, at 8km lang ang total distance (home to office and back) ng biyahe namin araw-araw. Good thing mas practical pa rin siya dahil 4 kami sa umaga, 5 sa hapon.

Depende po sa nakasanayan ninyo iyan o sa perception ninyo ng kung ano ang "matagtag" para sa inyo.

If you're willing to waive that warranty (electrical), then by all means, go for it, mas mura nga naman sa labas. AFAICR, si jaspi11 yata ay isa sa mga nagpakabit ng spoiler sa Banawe. Paki-PM na lang po siya.

got our avanza October 2007, nasa 12,7xx na ang odo so far.. that time.. i was looking for the most affordable a/t that can sit at least 6 people.. compared sa sedan.. matagtag talaga ang avanza natin.. pero hindi naman kasing tagtag nang FX.. regarding sa FC naman.. purely city driving kasi ako.. less than 20kms distance lang travel one way.. i'm getting anywhere from 7.5 to 8.5 kms per liter.. depende sa tindi nang trapik.. sa highway naman.. ehh trapik din sa SLEX hehehhee.. pero i'm getting 12 to 13kms per liter.. top speed around 140km/h

Sabi nga ni woohoo na puwedeng ma void ang warranty ang electricals pag may ginalaw dito.

Any way, kung gusto mo ng spoiler with third brage light, (sa casa nga pala ako kumuha) get the one na "same lang sa casa" kasi iyong hindi "same", ay medyo hindi pulido and iyong iba, less than a year pa lang, nag sisimula ng di gumana ang mga ilaw.

Mayroon sa ACP na nagpakabit ng "same sa casa", sulit ang kuha nila kasi almost half the price sa casa.

Suggested Priority upgrades:
1. door switch also known as courtesy switch - Dapat talaga ito sa J
2. Alarm - para safe ang Avanza natin, kasama na rin ang power door locks :D
3. fog lamps - safety reasons
4. third brake light - safety reasons din. bonus na na may spoiler. :D

Congrats and welcome to ACP. Regarding sa third brake light, I got mine sa C3 Blaunpunkt shop along C3 cor A.Bonifacio. D2 rin kumuha si Vice Jaspi, mas mura compared sa Casa and as we compared wala talagang pagkakaiba. btw better makipag bargain ka ha, ksi mataas yun price nila kung hind ka tatawad, I hope this help. cel number ni Sanny (owner)09175448585. mas priority ko sa upgrade are:
1. alarm with central lock (casa ako nagpakabit para di ma-void yung electrical warranty).
2. rear door switch (walang kuwenta yung alarm mo kung wala nito sa rear doors). tip lang, yung pang-altis na courtesy door switch yung bilhin mo, pareho lang yun and mura pa.
3. mud guard (tag-ulan na kasi ngayon)
4. door side mouldings (order ka kay sir marfin, mura lang)

for me, saka na muna yung foglamps and 3rd brakelight spoiler kasi manila driving lang naman kami.

YEP!!! Sarap ng feeling!! :clap: It's a big adjustment though since I'm used to driving a car..hehehehe. Talaga?! Ma-vo-void ang warranty?! Tsk, tsk! Kasi we asked TYT Commonwealth about the type of alarm they install and we found out na napaka basic naman pala nya (walang additional feature for anti-carnapping and all) and super steep ng price!! Would it be possible na bumile ng alarm sa labas and just have it installed sa TYT Commonwealth? Is that possible? Thanks sa reply!! :thumbup:
