Hi to all ACP members! Just want to make my presence felt. Although I seldom post here, I always monitor this thread (and other Avanza sub-threads). This thread is the reason why I decided to purchase Avanza, and, because I'm a newbie car owner, it is here where I learned a lot about our Avanza, thanks to all regular contributors of this thread.

As they say, "Keep them coming!!!"... the posts, I mean...

Hi fellow Tsikoteers and ACPs, I acquired my Avanza last January 2008 and had my 1K pms last March. Its now been almost four (4) months and yet, my odo reads 3K+ only.

When am I due for my 5K pms? I'm a bit confused between the "3 months" thing and the "mileage" thing as basis for the next pms. I wish to get your inputs first before I call my SA . TIA

SIr, the magic words are "Whichever comes First"
In your case Dapat noong Feb ka nag PMS. SInce March na, then your next PMS shall be June (3 mos) or 5K + your ODO reading last 1K PMS. Usually may nakasabit na notification sa car regarding next sked. Some casa even call to remind their clients.
Tama ba mga Ka ACP?

to some Casa, okay lang kung lumampas ka ng Months or ODO reading. Ask mo na lang sa SA mo.

The 5K PMS interval is for normal driving. Otherwise (less or over), mas maaga ang interval as per manual. You may check our manual for better appreciation. CHeck mo na rin kung ano ang mga dapat Inspect, Replace, etc.

Meron po ba sa inyo nagpalit na ng HU sa J variant, ano brand po pinalit nyo? Need some advice. How about speakers and subwoofer, I'm planning to upgrade ang audio setup sa J ko, any tip or suggestion, salamat po.

In my experience naman pinadvice ng SA ko na balik nalang daw every 5K cause ndi ko rin masyado nagagamit vanzy ko dahil wala akong lagi sa pinas dati. Anyway sa 5K service usually oil and filter change lang naman.

Pero much better parin if we are going to follow what the manual said.

i replaced the HU of avanza J with a Pioneer 3950 HU. Gusto ko kasi may mp3 capable and pre-outs for amplifier. I replaced the front speakers with separates tapos added coax speakers on the 2nd row passenger doors. Then may amplified sub ako at the back and an amplfier to power the separates (placed under the front passenger seat). Pero budget meal lang yan, all Targa and V12 amp.

Siyangapala, baka lang meron pang di nakakaalam, this is useful information sa ating mga vehicles, to prove our vehicles are registered, not tampered, and doesn't have any "alarms" sa LTO. Text LTO space VEHICLE space XXX000 (XXX000 stands for the plate number). For example, LTO VEHICLE ZYX321. Send to 2600 and wait for an auto generated reply then you can save to yor phone to show LTO enforcers just in case, they know this.
