According to Toyota, there's a 1000km and 5000km free maintenance checkup, excluding the consumables. My question is since I'll be using the car very rarely, it might take 10 months before it reaches 1000 km and even 5000km.

So if I brought the car for free maintenance checkup on the 10th month, will it still be free?

Now, after the first 3 months is finished, and if I rarely use the vehicle, let's say if it only runs 100 km a month, is it still practical to bring it to toyota every 3 months for the PMS?
IMO, if you seldom use your car and never reach 5000kms in 3 mos like mine it's been 5 mos since my last PMS I still lack 1000kms (odo reading 19k), I just follow what I've been practicing, check the color of oil and check the viscosity by checking the rate of dripping when pulling the deep stick. Di naman siguro mag eexpire ang langis in 6 mos. Paging junlatorre kaw expert dito....

I just bought a 4 liters Single Grade PETRON MOTOR OIL MO-30 with SAE grade 30 and Exceeds API. It costs 450 pesos.

Is this OK with Avanza for top off?

I also plan to bring this Petron Motor Oil in toyota ortigas for my first 1000km oil change. Do you think they will accept it, won't it void the warranty?

450 pesos for 4 liters? is that the correct oil for our Avanza?

some CASA doesn't allow you to bring your own oil.. you should have called them first and ask.

Yes. it's 450 pesos for 4 liters. The manual recommends 5W-30 and API compliant.

The Petron Motor Oil MO-30 I bought is for gasoline engine and has an SAE grade 30 and exceeds API. Since we don't experience much cold weather especially in my place in Rizal area, a multigrade oil is not required. Is that presumption true?

Here is Petron's detail about the motor oil from their website:
PETRON MOTOR OIL is a cost effective, single-grade oil intended primarily for use in gasoline and diesel engines of passenger cars running in mild operating conditions.
    Properties:
    · Protects engines against low temperature sludge formation and rust
    · Provides satisfactory performance in either high speed, over-the-road or stop-and-go service due to good chemical stability
    · Excellent detergency
    · Low tendency to form carbon deposits

Para safe, wag na lang mag mix ng different brands of oil.

Sana puwedeng magamit mo sa next change oil na lang.

hay, mga katoto, baka may advise pa kayo diyan. very much welcome po. it's our first time to buy brand new kaya gusto rin naming makasigurong we are getting a good deal.

and also if you still have contact nos. (kahit cp nos lang) ng kakilala niyong mga dealers, very much appreciated kung ipopost niyo dito. SALAMAT!! ang hirap kasi na dito kami sa probinsiya based. very limited ang contacts.
first i would like to say good luck na lang sana makatapat ka ng good SA kasi may bad experience din ako before so, di ko pwedeng i-recommend sya although nagmake -up naman sya sa kalokohan nya but still MANLOLOKO pa rin.

ako, when i had my 10km check-up last january, vanzy was 11 months old already w/ only 7.7km w/ reg oil only. i was reminded by toyota for my 15km check-up later part of May but was able to go there just last Thurs., barely 10months after my last pms. now, i have changed my oil to semi-synthetic as advised by my SA because it almost took me a year bago magpa pms.

this is the good news i left my vanzy at the casa for an overnight during that pms because my SA told me that the carpet i've requested during my last check-up was delivered a month after, so, february pa lang nasa kanya na yong order ko.kaya masaya kong iniwan si vanzy and YES bago na ang carpet ko!

btw, do I still have to schedule an appointment in TYT ortigas if I want to do a simple 1K PMS just for the change oil and oil filter? Or I can just pass there anytime I have time without scheduling?

There's something I've noticed today. I have a 1.3 silver avanza, the lowest variant (PHP 592,000)

Nung pagkabasa ko sa manual, all the door locks lock/unlock simultaneously with the driver's door.

Pero kapag nilock/unlock ko naman yung driver's door hindi naman nalock/naunlock yung iba. Ganito ba talaga sa 1.3? nakalagay kasi sa manual?

I think the Avanza user's manual covers all variants. For the 1.3J variant, power locks are not a feature so hindi sasabay yung ibang door pag sinusian mo yung driver's.
