Just like to ask Avanza owners if they noticed that the 2 rear doors don't have censors. I just found out that these are lacking in my 1.3J unit making the alarm useless if thief enters the rear doors. Is this a part of cost cutting for the 1.3J version? Thanks!

UU, wala ding sensor sa 1.3J unit ko. Matagal-tagal pa ata tayo mag-aantay bago magkaroon ng mga parts ang Avanza. Sana dumating na kaagad para maka-upgrade tayo. Nakaka-inggit kasi sa ibang bansa at ang 1.3 nila e parang 1.5 ang features! Kumpleto na sa mga borloloy, pati spoiler at side decal pa.
So far haven't refilled my tank. Pahinga kasi ako pag weekends. Pero if I extrapolate the FC (half tank na kasi sa gauge) parang lalabas ang FC ko pag sa hiway ang gamit e 14-16km/L!! tama kaya to? To any other 1.3 owners, can you please verify? Will finalize FC test once I top up my tank. Sana nga tutuo to, hehe. The remaining fuel sa ngayon sa slow driving ko gagamitin at di na sa hiway kaya average FC na lalabas ang computation ko, both for fast and slow driving na...

yes, just ask toyota yesterday about it. anything you touch voids the warranty. its directly from toyota dagupans' owner whom i had conversed with yesterday. if you change the tires and mags voids warranty for the suspension and underchassis. if you touch the electricals voids the warranty too. unless they are the ones who installed it eh hindi raw ma void. but of course price is much higher in casa.

This is exactly what was told to me by my SA. You basically can't touch anything if you don't want to void any warranties. Nakaka-frustrate naman kasi ito! Gusto ko nga talagang i-upgrade na yung unit ko bago ilabas nila tulad ng alarm, spoiler/3rd brake light, power windows, door visors, body kit pero dahil nga wala pang available na parts hindi daw nila magagawa! AAaaaaarrrrgh! nakaka-inis naman. Buti nalagyan ng central locks yun mga pinto (pang Revo daw yun na over stock nila). Hanggang dun na lang daw mailalagay nila... Sana nga lang me dadating na parts. Otherwise magaantay pa ako mag lapse yung warranty. Kelan pa yun?? Ang tagal pa. Hay naku...

Just do it. It only voids the warranty if they can show that the aftermarket modification was what caused the stock parts around them to fail.

The 3rd brake light will only void the wiring warranty for the light you tap the current from and the body panel you drill the holes into to fit it.

The Alarm? Hmmmm...

Mags and tires? Depends. This always voids suspension warranty, but there's the rub... ask them how long the suspension and alignment warranty is. It's never as long as the comprehensive warranty for the engine and drivetrain. Springs and shocks are always considered wear items.

Ganyan din po sa basic models ng Innova [kahit ata dashboard warning lamp wala ito]. Don't know about the basic Hilux.

Akala ko nga L300FB na lang ang kulang sa door sensors in this modern age. Hehehe.

Does the interior lamp still have a 'door' function?

Nalalagyan naman po ng sensor iyan. May mga vintage cars din po kasi na walang sensors (kahit sa front doors) kaya nilalagyan na lang. Kaya lang bago pa ang Avanza. Baka nakakahinayang ipabutas.

Sa akin nakabitan na ng alarm at central locking sa casa. Kaya lang bale wala ang alarm pag rear doors ang nabuksan dahil walang sensor.

I'm just a new member here in TSIKOT & this would be my first message to the thread.

I've been following this thread since the avanza came out last month. And this is very useful for someone like me who's planning to get one unit this month. I and my wife is planning to get 1.5G MT in Toyota Marikina. And we choose to have the champagne color. Nagpa-reserve wife ko last week and we plan to get the unit before Christmas

Any update on FC sa mga nakabili na ng 1.5G? City and Hiway FC. And also, meron bang USB port yung Stereo/MP3 Player?

I don't have much technical knowledge about car specs but knowing toyota, i know mas mababa ang FC nito compare sa iba.

And to all Avanza owners and would be owner.....HI TO EVERYBODY!..This thread really helps a lot.

Kenwood DPX-MP2090S model daw yung naka-kabit sa 1.5G. I checked in their website mukhang wala yatang USB port. Upgrade na lang ng HU pag lampas na ng warranty period.

Thanks akal sa information. Sayang wala palang USB port, akala ko magagamit ko external drive ng PC ko.....portable music library labas ng hard disk ko.....hehehe...

1. Pano ba tamang brake in? Is it true ba na dapat pag nasa break in period di itatakbo ng more than 100km/hour ang brand new car until it reach 1K mileage and after 1st change oil?

2. Ano dapat na fuel gamitin sa brand new avanza? I think i've read dito rin sa thread na ito na meron nakakuha ng unit at meron kasama sa freebies na 10Liters na UNLEADED sa Shell Gas station. Does it mean na DAPAT unleaded gas na gamitin?

3. Why is it that pag champagne color matagal makuha? Ano justification ng mga dealers?

Sensya na mga ka-tsikot..... ......this will be my first brand new car kaya i'm trying to be careful on those details.

Mas medyo mahal ang add on sa Marikina. Sa Ortigas ko nakuha ang 1.3J ko. LTO registration 7,500 (M), 6,500 (O); Insurance 23,447 (M), 22,000 (O) and Full rustproof 4,500 (M), 2,000 (O). Sa Marikina rin sana ako kukuha pero ang baba ng appraisal nila sa trade-in. I got 80,000 more for my car in Ortigas.

Pero ang freebies ko lang - 3M tint, matting and seat cover. Walang free gas.

Champagne - mas madaming kumukuha ng champagne kaya matagal ang waiting time. This is the only color not available for the 1.3J variant. 3-4 weeks waiting time is ok. When I got my other car, I waited for 2 months just to get the color I want and they ask me to pay in full to be the 1st in line.

yup no USB port. can play mp3. I-trip for ipod works well bcoz the antenna is located at the left hand front panel.

the manual will tell you how to break in properly
unleaded fuel higher that 90 octane i think is ok. nasa manula din.

unleaded fuel higher that 90 octane i think is ok. nasa manula din.

All new cars use unleaded fuel. The manual states use 90 RON fuel. If I'm not mistaken all unleaded fuels in the Phil sold by the big three meet this.

Hmmm. Nakakatakot naman. Layo pa kasi ng Casa sa amin. Balak ko muna bumili ng bulbs para sa lights. Mas gusto ko kasi ng HID ang headlights at mga signal lights. Nasanay na kasi. hehe. Then try ko na sa Casa ipakabit. Papayag kaya sila?
So far FC e 2/3 pa lang. Malapit na mag last 1/4. Macocompute ko na FC ng 1.3. So far 240kms na sa mileage.
AND, na try ko na ilusong sa baha ang Avanza ko! Horror of horrors pero kelangan e. Malapit kasi sa ilog bahay namin tapos dinaanan kami ng bagyo kaya ang bilis bumaha! Tama nga sabi nila na matapang sa baha ang Avanza. Yung isang kotse di na kinaya at tumigil, yung unit ko nakalusot pa. Well partida na siya kasi bago unit ko. hehe. Buti di nabasa loob. Waterproofed pa siguro dahil sa lubricants/oils/grease...

Sa mga 1.3 owners dyan - ilan ba speakers ng unit nyo? Sa akin kasi dalawa lang sa front. Tapos me storage console/storage cup holder between the front seats, sa me handbrake?? Yung akin kasi wala din nito.
