Good morning po, newbie question lang po. Ask ko lang po anong difference ng ECO ON and ECO OFF ng Vios 1.3E AT, and which is better?

No difference. The Vios' ECO light is just a light that turns on when you're driving efficiently. If you turn it off, then no light will turn on if you're driving efficiently, but you can still drive efficiently.

so why does the manufacturer recommend against hatawing the car if it has not been broken in yet?

Good evening guys, who else uses Shell Fuelsave on their thirdy? Any feedbacks? I just filled up with Fuelsave last week, and it seemed smoother than the other variants that I've tried (XCS, Blaze, V-nitro+R, Extreme97) despite its lower RON. I havent computed for its fuel efficiency though, mine averages at 10-11km/L at 3k ODO.

Pag sila nagkabit hindi void.babayad kalang labor.

Item and install should be from them too, that is a marketing strategy. If you opt to get an after market, might as well let them(outside) install it, di naman po magkaka-problem yan at free pa install.

Drove mine (1.3j) kanina from pampanga to Laguna at hinataw ko, 120+ but not reaching 140 sa NLEX.

I think this vios model can only run very smoothly at 100kms/hr. I also noticed the break is not that good so my advice dun sa mga kapareho ko ng model, maintain a good amount of distance sa sinusundan nyo.

3rd gen ba yang sayo? I've driven mine at 185 kph, stable naman ah.

Brakes are also decent, still better than a Fortuner's/Montero's.

Yup 3rd gen got it just last November. I don't know what you mean by stable? 1.3 din b young sa yo?

By stable I mean that it doesn't feel any different than our old 2.0 Altis (which I've driven past 200 kph before).

Yes mine is a 1.3 AT.

Hi guys! Dahil sa Baguio gridlock we just opted to stay in Pangasinan. Drove Jesse for around 550km since yesterday and today driving Manila-Pangasinan, inner cities of Pangasinan, and Pangasinan-Manila. Namali kami ng labas sa SCTEX instead of going to TPLEX we exited in Luisita kaya binaybay namin MacArthur til Urdaneta haha.

And it's just Jesse's 8th day... 😁

When I did my last run on SCTEX I also allowed the car to shed speed on uphills and gain them back on downhills.

Hi sir question lang. Mali ata kasi ginagawa ko sa akin. On uphill, press ko lang pedal to maintain yung target speed then sa downhill, bitaw na ako hanggang marating ko yung flat road then balik ulit ako sa target speed ko.

Dapat pala mag speed up ako sa downhill then sa uphill hayaan ko lang yung momentum? If mag speed up ako going downhill, hanggang sa anong speed? Usually sa 80 ako nagccruise. At kapag uphill naman anong speed yung gagawin kong minimum bago ko ipress ulit yung pedal? Sctex subic din madalas daan ko.

If you want maximum efficiency, instead of maintaining a certain speed, maintain a certain pedal pressure.

Say, you step on the pedal at 1/8th travel. On a flat road, this might be enough to maintain your speed at 80 kph. Maintaining the same 1/8th pedal pressure even on an uphill will definitely mean that you will decrease speed to about 70 kph - just let it happen. Conversely, even with just the same 1/8th pedal pressure, if you're on a downhill, you might accelerate to 100 kph. That's okay too.

For long uphills though, sometimes I apply more pedal pressure (about 2/8 instead of 1/8) to be able to maintain a minimum speed of 70 kph. For long downhills, when I go past 120 kph sometimes I just coast already.

One more tip, when you're about 1km away from the toll exit and you're still going at 80-100 kph, you can coast all the way already. Likewise, if you see that there's a slow car up ahead and you can't overtake on the other lane, instead of braking, just coast to gradually lose speed.

Basta coast as much as possible.
