I agree, but this is not comparing an apple from a banana.
When we measure and compare one FUEL ECONOMY to another, there is a presumption that everything (traffic, idling, RPM and breaking frequency) is NORMAL (if not the same).

    +1

I'm not a car expert, just an enthusiast. =)

These are machines, built on the same way and using the same parts. Wonder why one is good on this fuel and another one is better on that?
My guess: it has something to do also with the DRIVING HABBIT of a person. =)

There are cars built on the same way, using the same parts. But why one is good on this fuel and another is better on that?
I guess, it has something to do with the DRIVING HABBIT of a person

So, is it right to state that choice of fuel (for better fuel economy) is dependent on the DRIVING HABBIT of the person, not the CAR itself?

this is so true nung wala pa halo ethanol ang gasoline...

but times have change wherein meron na blend ng ethanol and kung ano ano additives ang nakahalo sa cheep low octane gasoline to boost it...

FYI: ethanol octane > gasoline octane yet ethanol power < gasoline power yet ethanol/L price > gasoline/L price

nasa tama halo na yan and additives ang performance, not all cars are the same and not all drivers are the same...

enjoy driving and keep engine clean! mahirap at magastos mag linis ng carbon deposits

After inspecting sa casa, pipinturahan daw yung buong panel or yung buong trunk lid.

The problem is the plate number, it was installed using the LTO issued bolts na mahirap tanggalin.

    and how much kaya?

    Thank you

The new plates, with the bolts as a security feature, are designed to discourage criminals from stealing vehicles as they will have a hard time swapping plates, and a vehicle roaming the streets with damaged plate may be swooped down upon and may be apprehended by our law enforcers.

Hence, if the plate cannot be transferred undamaged, you will need to pay LTO for REPLACEMENT (not duplicate or extra).

there's that.. habit.. knowing that your fuel is hi octane, may delude you into believing that your are walter mitty and thus capable of better performance...
and there's manufacturing and assembly tolerances... the cars may have been designed and built using a certain program.. but the tolerances involved still say that each car is different from the other.. sometimes, some cars simply are built closer to the ideal, hence better performance..

the security bolts are not a security feature its a stupidity feature of the LTO/Mar Roxas it only an inconvenience and expense to majority of the good people of the Philippines and the criminals just stick the security bolts with glue to make a detachable plate for their getaway/stolen car

meaning, due to manufacturing tolerances, it can be possible that you can get a 2015 Vios 1.3 M/T with better fuel economy than another 2015 Vios 1.3 M/T built on the same plant?

Do we have option not to use the security bolts once we received the new LTO plate?

    yespo..
personal experience. my (non-vios) vehicle does one less km/li, than my other same vehicle. and since i do the driving, i can more-or-less rule out differences in driving habits and driving routes..

So I guess ma-void nga warranty.

May keyless entry or automatic lock/unlock po ba yung 1.3J model? Am planning to get the J model para kay misis yung lang kasi kaya budget namin, wala kasi ako makita reliable info on google. Yung spec sheets usually walang detailed info. Salamat po mga sir!

Thanks sa reply sir, malaki kasi price gap between J and E model almost 100k eh. Possible ba upon purchasing the unit palagyan ko na rin siya ng immobilizer or alarm and keyless entry? Salamat uli.

that's why i call it a stupidity feature required but easily bypassed and does not address the problem its supposed to address
