April 30th, 2016 02:19 PM #8566Hi. Hingi lang ako advice sa inyo. I'm planning of be part of the Vios group. I'm planning to get a Vios 1.5G A/T.
Kaso may mga nabasa ako about the updated version na coming soon. Sa Philippines daw walang papalitan sa exterior but the engine and transmission will be changed -- Dual VVTi and CVT.

You won't go wrong with the current specs.
BTT: shell user ako, vpower nitro. Kanina pa empty na kasi ako at petron lang pinakamalapit na station. Filled up with xcs pero i feel sluggish sa takbo niya. Bakit ganoon?

May 1st, 2016 10:23 AM #8568Dual VVTi and CVT is a good bet if you are aiming for the A/T variant since the 3rd gen is not as good with its current fuel efficiency compared to its earlier generations...
based on history, there have been always a price increased when new models comes out, even within its same generation, expect minimum 80k siguro (wild guess ko lang yan)?
mag hintay? its up to you, no idea ang real world results ng Dual VVTi + CVT pero theoretically mas efficient siya (but we can never rely on theoretical alone, kaya nga tayo nag actual (aka real world) test)
pag lumabas yong new Dual VVTi + CVT (kung lalabas nga) eh makaka kuha ka ng good discount dun sa luma version...

May 1st, 2016 10:32 AM #8569had the opportunity to join a plant tour sa toyota manufacturing plant sa laguna c/o vios club of the philippines...
the Q&A portion wherein you can ask the head engineers of toyota stated on the question of which fuel is best for our ride, they say based on the big three, they recommend the brand with the star, this is also what they use on their plant and the one they dispense on the cars they manufacture.... also the one with the sea shell aka "kabibe" was recommended by them, but sad to say, they say no with the brand with the letter "P" (sad because our own county brand is not recommended by the largest auto maker in the world)
but fuel results varies from person to person, we are all unique, some of us can feel the results, some of us can't even tell... but for me, i believe what the engineers at the manufacturing plant recommends and uses as they won't use a product on a brand new vehicle that may put them to shame and complaints...

May 1st, 2016 11:38 AM #8570Thanks for the reply. Decided na ko sa 1.3E Vios tapos hindi ko akalain na may tough choice pa na kasunod A/T or CVT. Been reading AT vs CVT reviews/articles -- toss up parin between the two. Hindi convincing ang both sides.
Re fuel: hindi ba ang katapat ng vpower nitro ay blaze?
薄利多销 or what was it they called it?
