don't take my word for it...
We're in the market kasi for a car for my wife.
Final choices...
Innova G vs Innova E + reverse sensor and camera (15K add on sa casa if walang ongoing promo)
the agent said, they cannot add the G's front sensor sa E
And not only is the G's interior better, it also has "better insulation"
so wife decided to get the G... she can wait until Q1/2 next year. sana maglabas sila ng G na may DRL![]()
this 3rd Gen Avanza looks like major step in refinement compared to the first 2 generations.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota later decides to release a cheaper bare bones 7 seater that will be side by side with the Raize and Wigo.
hindi kaya urban myth iyan na perpetuated naman ng mga ahente?
i mean mas maintindihan ko siguro magkaiba insulation kung lexus yung isa tapos toyota. basically parehong innova. hindi kaya sa materials nag katalo like tela vs leather which absorbs more sound or vibrations? not necessarily insulation per sé.
wife went around... I was pushing for the Corolla Cross hybrid.
She thinks "ok na" yung Innova G for her needs
I really feel na overpriced yung lower end ng local Toyota cars sold sa atin (Fortuner/Corolla and below)
Tapos 4 times a year pa PMS!
Pero its selling, why change something that's not broken.
i still believe, that down the road of car ownership, toyota still offers the lesser car woes and headaches.
their cars might not be as exciting as the competition's, but they are perceived to be proven reliable. and that is fine with many costumers.
but that's just me.
toyota,
for all the real or perceived (imagined) advantages...
when you're king of the heap, you can get away with many things.
basically, its name sells itself.
so why am i not attracted to the new innova?
because compared to the older gen, "it got literally bigger".
medyo siksikan kasi sa neighborhood namin.

Innova G din sana kinonsider ko before pero ang lapit na talaga price sa Montero GLS at that time.
Medyo sayang, I waited if kaya ba nila magbigay malaking discount, hindi din gaano kalaki bigay toyota.
Buti pa fortuner, may more or less 120k discount base sa mga nakakaavail at that time.
Budget is not an issue.
for her, disappointed sya na yung 2nd row ng Cross does not fold flat. she also finds it too small (she's taller than the car)
ako naman, I find it annoying na wala syang 360 camera, wireless carplay and holder ng sunglasses.
don't get me wrong, small items. pero in the next 3 years, feeling ko maluluma bigla yung Cross bec of the "missing" features
she's finds the Fotuner and Montero too big. naliliitan sya sa infotainment system ng CR-V
Innova is more of like, "ito na nga lang"
I love na may holder sya ng shades. She loves the side mirrors
still find it weird to buy a car in 2022 na walang hybrid system, pero I gave her a nice speech na this maybe our last chance of owning a diesel car![]()
Agree din.
Back in the day, I remember the really well off parents of my former classmates, and you'd catch them buying knockoffs at 168 and (the former) Virra Mall but they don't care! They'd even say out loud 'Oy, I got this cheap, peke eh! Ang cute no?' then laugh among themselves.
We have a Vios that doesn't see much use. There's this guy who ribs me about my 'taxi unit' sometimes when I use it, kesyo bakit hindi "G" model naman sana, pang masa car, etc. ---> The guy drives an accord that he could only get through a 5 yr loan at high interest. Noting wrong with that except he's got this `snooty' attitude about it otherwise he feels people will look down on him if uses anything "less"... but can barely afford the installments, and when tuition time comes around, they scramble (again) for loans to pay for their kids' expensive schools (so they can connect with the kids of rich folks)
I don't say anything. Its obvious though they're living beyond their means, carry themselves around as if they do, but have the gall to put down others pa.![]()
i thought i was fine with the E,
until i drove the G, with its side mirror remote-control adjust.
hulog ng langit, to those plagued with tight-parking syndrome.
rear camera? that should also prove useful.
i do not know, if casa is willing or allowed to upgrade the E's side mirrors or install rear cam, or if banawe can do it.

Methinks the Banawe boys can do it, for much less than the casa
Nakakainis nga lang yung mga freelancers pag nahalata you're looking for something...
Best to know beforehand which shops to go to.
When we were in the worst of the pandemic, imbes na mag mall, I'd stroll the length of Banawe from E. Rod to almost Del Monte na ata yun (open air pa) just browsing. Problema nga lang, maraming pasaway sa protocols so I'd steer clear of people pa rin![]()
i have two suki's in banawe, one for aircon, and another for generals.
dun lang ako pumupunta.
i have yet to explore the banawe world of aftermarket upgrade.
ang gusto ko kasi sa casa,
when they install aftermarket,
it looks like the car was born with it, and it works as advertised.
