Tapos perfect length & width. Yung outgoing kasi nagfeeling altis.

lumaki kami sa beat-up owner jeep.
there is no shame in using whatever vehicle one uses, if that is what fate has handed you.
decent folks, especially those who worked their way up the ranks, do not care what vehicle you hop out from or hop into.
only the... matapobres!... will take notice.

some respected and successful colleagues-doctors of mine, they drive avanzas.
one of our richest colleagues, drives an old hiace.
a number of my colleagues even take public transport, LRT, taxi, or grab ("no parking problems!"). yes, they commute (before covid, heh heh.).
we in the workplace, do not even think of it as an issue to gloss over.

there was this one consultant-doctor, na-late dumating. "nakatulog ako sa LRT." tawanan lang kami.

    i assure you,
no one of importance will look down on you, should you drive into the mall pay parking, in an avanza of whatever vintage.
    i certainly wouldn't!

I agree. lumaki akong nasa PUV business. Jeeps and Taxis.

Kaya nung college ako, I did everything I can para di ako naka-Toyota papasok

on my last 2 years in college... most memorable trips we had was when I borrowed my dad's 94 FX.

when I graduated, I decided to finally accept the E100. That car was with us for 10 years without any issues

    the corolla big body!
    cooler!

matagal kunang liniligawan yung big body ng colleague, intending to restore it.
ayaw bitawan, even as kakakuha lang niya ng expander...

i was surfing youtube, and i saw this article on lexus.
powered by the interest generated by jut's new lexus, pinanood ko.

it seems, the writer was saying that the raison de etre for buying toyota and lexus, is the reliability issue.

    low cost. performance. reliability.
one can choose only two of the three.
it is impossible to choose all three.
    OT.

    I admire your thoughts Dr.D

This is OT, but I have this urge to share this
There was this story of an incident in Binondo wherein a lady customer with a new Vios advised the guard to have the parked Tamaraw FX removed in front of a building where she intends to park. The guard did not budged, as if he did not hear the lady. The lady furiously shouted at the guard to have the FX removed. The guard then quietly whispered to lady - "The owner of the Tamaraw FX also owns this Building, better park somewhere else"

    heh heh heh!
    thank you.

i am sure many folks remember this urban legend,
the younger woman wanted to use the elevator in a well-known bank building, for herself.
she wanted the older woman to leave the elevator...

    some years ago,
regulars at a popular makati supermarket would notice this plainly-dressed senior citizen gentleman, walking around the 'market, with ID indicating "security".
    he was the owner...

    strolling sa binondo...
'kala mo kung sinong ordinary person... yun pala he owns the ground you are walking on...

we should treat everybody, avanza'd or avenidas'd, decently.
no reason we should look down on them.

    OT.

    re.
    millionaires driving ordinary cars,
"61% of america's wealthiest people, drive toyotas, hondas, and fords."

    very doc d.

going back to cars, yes when i was still in college several decades ago, i use to drive a beat up corona. that is where I learned about cars -- by meeting all possible problems when you have a very old beat up car. heck, my future wife didn't mind riding in one (alam mo di pera hinahanap sa iyo-- hehehe).
