So basically, kaya naman ng Wigo yung biyahe pero it's a bit matagtag? Tama po ba? Siguro this weekend ko matetest drive siya but I wanted to hear from the experts first. [emoji6][emoji6]

Idaan nya sa isang malubak na portion during test drive para malaman nya kung ok lang ba sa kanya.

guys san kaya nakakabili ng engine air filter ng nito? except sa casa![]()
You're funny!
Once there was a car running at approximately 80 kph at the overtaking lane. So I was driving smoothly at 90 kph and I decided to overtake him to the right since he wouldn't move as he "hugs" the fast lane. I was wondering how is it that I couldn't pass him until I saw that I was beyond the speed limit!
I just released the gas pedal. Or should I say "diesel pedal"?
if you are a diesel, you must choose your overtakings, lest you get shamed.
but with gas cars, doing 120-150 kph is easy.
in more than one occasion, i accidentally reached 120 kph (sorry! non-wigo).without my knowledge. very smooth kasi ang engine.
wigo kasi, tumatagtag nang kaunti kapag bumibilis.
May Recall..
https://www.************.ph/journal/...s-toyota-wigo/
Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) has issued a “customer satisfaction campaign” regarding a faulty wire in over 15,000 Toyota Wigo models.
According to the Japanese carmaker, a total of 15,373 Toyota Wigo models produced from April 5 to December 15, 2017, are affected by the said recall campaign.
The problem lies with the protection tube stiffness of engine wire No.6 as supposedly being too high and which may bend due to engine vibration. If this happens, there is said to be the possibility of the wire breaking which would then result in “decrease of engine power and warning light illumination.”
As a preventive measure, TMP will reportedly replace the affected wire for free at no cost to the vehicle’s owner.
Kamusta ang mga 2018 Wigo unit owners? Feedback naman dyan from new Wigo owners. Pinagpipilian ko kse eto or mag Nissan Almera na lang ako (for my college daughter).
Planning to buy this this October. Kamusta mga Wigo nyo? Ok ba pang daily driver?
Agree Doc.
Of the 2017 edition, the only thing I dislike about this car are the front seats. I'm only 5'9 but I feel a little "scrunched up" on long drives. I hate the "high back (one piece) config" intended to give it a "sporty" layout. Maybe sa 1st ed mo, mas maganda ang layout and with a separate headrest?
8km/l heavy traffic; 6-7km/l standstill traffic.
11-12km/l moderate traffic
15-18 km/l light (Sunday AM NCR) traffic
27-28 km/l highway at 70-80kph. At faster speeds I see the FC readings increase.
Ride quality's satisfactory sa akin, kasi sanay ako sa lifted na Hilux ko with stiff shocks (can't get harsher than that)Besides, physics yan eh- short wheelbase eh.
Good low end acceleration from 0-40 (city car nga designed for stop & go traffic, not sporty driving - buy an 86 for that!)
Cruised sa NLEX ng 110 at 3000 rpm (50% power?) hindi hirap - top speed is probably mga 130-140? Fair enough for a 67+hp car. (1KRVE)
I feel it to be stable on the highway. I once drove a friend's Charade (a distant 'ancestor' of this car's lineage) to La Union and I could literally feel the car "slapped" by turbulence from buses/larger vehicles. Not this car; though once, I felt a "vaccum force" tugging from behind for a few seconds before a Victory liner passed by at high speed.
Yung "nginig" when stepping on the brake at very slow speeds is normal- it goes away with a firm step on the brake pedal pag fully stopped ka na (AT Trans). Theory ko is nalilito yung computer whether you want to stop ba talaga or might need to accelerate suddenly so tinitimpla niya yung timing ng engine.
Also, the stock battery supplied with the unit is only mediocre quality. Per discussion with yung owner ng battery shop na suki namin since the late '80s, most Wigo (stock) batteries last only a year on average- note: this is fair enough for an ordinary/cheap battery. Compounding the problem though are some buyers are clueless 1st time car owners who don't check the battery fluid and allow it to run dry (hindi maintenance free yung stock). Doc d, hindi pala "premature death" yung 1yr stock battery mo from frequent stop starts dati- ganun lang talaga lifespan niya
Kausap ko yung mga 1st ed owners and positive feedback din- matibay nga daw. I think Doc d's had his for over 4 years na and only thing na report niya is the light dun sa AT shift lever needs replacing (yun lang!)
Lastly, its so fun to wash & wax because its so... tiny. LOLCompared to the other cars in the garage, siya yung bunso (or runt/bansot of the litter, depending on how you see it). Pwedeng wash, rinse & hang to dry after every use
