personally, i liked the old wigo's body design more than the new one's.
i probably would have labeled the new one as "trying too hard".
    again, it's my opinion only..

just bought last april 2018 wigo G mt; hinde naman po sya matagtag kasi galing ako sa truck base suv so for me smooth sya, the only problem lang is vibration (i mean malakas ang nginig ng engine pag magprimera ka), pero issue was solved after i-adjust ang clutch. i'm enjoying riding with my new wigo. hope this will help and encourage sa gusto bumili ng wigo for their next minicar.
regarding fc, 'on' nyo lang ang eco mode para ka lang naka motor hehe (exaggerated) but seriously, from balanga bataan to mindanao ave talipapa (i think 120km yata yan) coming from a full tank just 1 bar lang nabawas sa fuel gauge (two people; 75kg & 50kg ang sakay) with 80-100km/hr speed.
    cheers!

Kaya naman yan ng Wigo. Ang tanong kaya ba ng nanay mo yung ganyang routine araw-araw? 100km is like the distance from Bulacan to Batangas.

kung 100kms ang byahe daily.. mas comfortable kung mag bus na lang ang mom mo.. tipid pa.. lalo na kung slex or nlex na magbabayad nang toll daily..

    i have wigo.
i feel it is more of a city car, i.e., short trips, than a long-distance car.
yes, it can do long trip. but it's not as comfortable to drive at speed as a larger car like, say, an old altis, which i also have, and compare against.
matipid ang wigo. 9-10 km/li in the congested metro, and 15+ km/li in the expressway.

but i agree with the others above.
getting a weekday dump and going home on weekends, is a consideration. many of our officemates do this. taga laguna sila.

fuel cost alone, a daily 100 km drive will cost you 1800 bucks a week.
plus the toll fees.. the tires.. oil.. pagod! we always forget to put a price on our time and pagod.

Yes, stress is a killer. Big time killer. But then driving in the metro is also a stressful exercise. If you travel 100 kms daily on the highway but do it in one hour or a bit more, it's a whole lot better than driving the same 1 hour ++ and just covering 10++ kms in the metro.

BTT: get a diesel vehicle to save on gas, more practical than petrol.

Agree on hiway vs city driving. I regularly drive to Batangas from Bulacan and vice versa using a Sorento and Mazda 2. Stressful yung drive when I reach QC-Pasig-Makati, relaxing yung drive sa Bulacan and Laguna-Cavite-Batangas segments. Although comparing the rides, mas relaxing ang drive using the Sorento so if you do long distance travel, as much as possible a bigger car is better. The Mazda 2 is just too lively (but fun) to drive.

Haha thanks for the replies everyone and sa concern sa mom ko. Yes, 50km one way so 100km balikan. She's been doing it for 5 years na, and kaya pa naman daw. I'm guessing kasi sa south kami, biyahe niya is sta rosa to cavite (epza), so mostly highways and expressways.

So basically, kaya naman ng Wigo yung biyahe pero it's a bit matagtag? Tama po ba? Siguro this weekend ko matetest drive siya but I wanted to hear from the experts first. [emoji6][emoji6]

    matagtag dahil:
    1. light body weight.
    2. short wheelbase.
    3. higher factory-spec tire pressure.
    4. seats are relatively thinly-cushioned.
    5. it wasn't designed to be of luxurious suspension.

    overall, it's a decent drive.

    May Recall..

    https://www.************.ph/journal/...s-toyota-wigo/

Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) has issued a “customer satisfaction campaign” regarding a faulty wire in over 15,000 Toyota Wigo models.

According to the Japanese carmaker, a total of 15,373 Toyota Wigo models produced from April 5 to December 15, 2017, are affected by the said recall campaign.

The problem lies with the protection tube stiffness of engine wire No.6 as supposedly being too high and which may bend due to engine vibration. If this happens, there is said to be the possibility of the wire breaking which would then result in “decrease of engine power and warning light illumination.”

As a preventive measure, TMP will reportedly replace the affected wire for free at no cost to the vehicle’s owner.
