2016 Toyota Fortuner Jerky Transmission

If Toyota is quick to respond, this probably means they are aware of the defect and the transmissions installed are from a bad batch? Hopefully latter releases are no longer affected, there's so many of them around pa naman. Will be a nightmare if TMP has to replace that many transmissions.

Pare i think this thread 's purpose is to inform other fort owners what to do and what to expect on the tranny issue. If you have nothing constructive to contribute, balik ka nalang sa korean brand car thread mo,. Muka fan boy ka din ng koran brand.

My casa SA told me to wait for a software update, but read from the Fort FB that other owners got approvals for a tranny change. Should I get a second opinion regarding my jerky tranny from another casa?

Bro if i were you i would insist for a tranny change, its better that way. Yun b3 talaga clulprit dian mas ok and peace of mind pag bago diba. In my case 1k km na after tranny change so far so good.

Change tranny din gusto ko sa unit ko, kaso baka insist ng casa yung software update (cheaper and faster) for TMP.

if the only difference between the new tranny and the old, is that new software update, then i probably will agree to the software update only.
but if the problem recurs, then i shall insist on change tranny.

Sparcom, you are the owner and the amount of the unit is not a joke, i think they should do what you ask them to do. Insist on the replacement, nag cost cutting nalang yan,
