    From FCP *FB

According to toyota a certain pioneer batch of 2016 that is experiencing shift shock is due to small valve body of the transmission solenoids they accumulate pressure due to its size. daw. They have adjusted the the size and made it bigger of the new replacement transmission that has been shipped in, they said it will shift smoother and will eliminate the pressure that is causing the shift shock. Kudos for toyota's after sales for having a fix right away other brands like ford will leave you "found on the road dead"👍

Correct. Siguro kudos to FCP and not TMP. Kung makakalusot eh lusot. If this affects certain batch, isn't it right to inform owners?

As a consumer, i always go for what is right and proper for both parties involved. If solving the problem does not necessitate changing the entire transmission and they have determined what part exactly has to be changed, that is fine with me so long as the proper part is changed, and properly done.

I had similar issues with our then-new GU Patrol before. The unit had clutch problems and together with the CASA we agreed that overhauling first the master cylinder would be acceptable for the warranty claim. The problem was not fully fixed after the job was done and testing was made so there we got clearance to replace the entire assembly.

yes, Toyota has confirmed that there is indeed a tranny problem and ordering will be 15 working days. replacement takes about 2-3 days and it has a different part number. if not, they are also launching a software update by august 2016 to help solve the problem. at least , they recognize the problem and doing something about it.

Of course, Toyota denies there are mechanical issues... programming lang daw.

Let's see if this is really the case. For anyone still on the waitlist, let us know what happens!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Nice article Niky. Thanks for speaking out for the customers and getting to the bottom of this. There was a lot of fear uncertainty and doubt out there. Thanks for shining light on the issue and giving credence to what real customers are saying. Journalism in service of customers. Bow ako.
