    and casa cannot, either.
    hence, "no spare tire cover".
    casa certainly knows its market.
Are you referring to me just because i said something about that? In case you're assuming, i never said that this was a deal breaker for me although there are some buyers out there who would want to buy it with a cover. If i'm currently in the market though, it wouldn't affect my choice that much because it's not my greatest concern but i just can't get enough seeing much of these on the roads with their spare tires somehow prominent under the rear that it seems it can just be taken away so easily. I'm sure naman that you already know the purpose of those spare tire covers.

    you?
    of course not!
i know next to nothing about you.

i refer to that big army of loyalists that toyota has successfully managed to amass over the decades, to the utmost envy of the competition.
the folks that some tsikoteers say, will prefer a stripped-down toyota over a TOTL non-toyota, every single day of the week, and twice on sundays.

    "blind loyalists".

Oh i get it. Those buyers who have the same kind of mentality in buying their cars, they're not surprising at all but some people are more clever than them by having decent knowledge about it.

some authorities say that the bubuyog and the payaso fastfoods do not really offer great, delicious food.
but folks flock to them, because of the one thing they both offer: consistency.
customers go there, knowing full well what to expect.

    same with cars.

some customers will prefer this or that car, because of something new or exciting "promise".

but a certain brand offers "boring reliability". and to many folks, that is precisely what keeps this brand at the top of their list.

Iba ka talaga mag-compose, doc. Laging may mga kasamang reference. 😅

Yes, ganun nga ang karamihan dito. Kaya some people din would get tired of seeing something so common almost everyday that in the end, they feel better after they pick on something unique, like my parents. They don't and didn't like any of these ppvs and chose something much more expensive yet older and unique alternative that is more upscale than this one.

I own several brand of cars, no loyalty to any brand. All i can say every brand have its own weakness and i do believe if you want your car last long you should follow proper pms for early repair if necessary and proper driving etiquette. Maybe many of us based their purchases on reliability next comfortability

1st and 2nd gen lang meron hehe.

The 3.0 will be faster than the new 2.4 pag highway drive (180+hp vs 140+). Pero pag from a stop, maybe hindi pansin so much kasi the torque figures are similar (approx 400nm for both).

343nm lang for the old 3.0 although both have good powerbands i think.

mga sirs, i think in long drive maiiwan ung 1st gen kasi ung 2nd gen even the engine is smaller but they match with a six speed AT trans compare to the 1st gen that is 4 speed AT..

I have both 3.0 fort and 2nd gen 2.4 AT, I think mauuna ng konti yung 2.4 from 0-100kph because the torque is higher and weight is lighter. The 3.0 is heavier because 4x4 siya.

Pero sa overtaking ba sir ramdam ba difference nila? Hindi naman po ba nabibitin ang 3.0?

Wala sa kotse yan. The difference between the first and second gen Fortuner is negligible enough that it really boils down to the driver.

I'm sure Vip Isada can outdrive all of us and he's a senior citizen already.

Akala ko when you get old mas refine na driving habit [emoji4]
