Hi everybody! I'm new here in this forum. I need your inputs about a second hand 2015 1.0g mt wigo being sold at 362k. Do u think its a good buy?my prob is that I'm based in roxas city and the car is in Manila so it will be harder for me to personally check it out. I'm intrigued by the car and it's fc.super tipid daw.are there any major concerns with regards to this model? TIA

^i think ang concern mo is trustworthy ba ang seller mo given na hindi mo makikita. Unless kakilala mo talaga.

Nothing against wigo but it is underpowered and wont achieve more than 10km per liter... features are not that tops also... try to get a deal for a mirage or g4.

Just found out that the seller is the bank.repossessed unit.anybody got experience buying from the bank? I've heard prices are low coz as is where is basis sya. Sayang din Kasi yung savings mga 150k din compared to buying a brand new.and if sa casa dito sa province may additional 25k sa listed price.sa freight ata. Nasa 11k na yung odometer Nya.

Only 10km/l? Pretty low if you ask me. And to think this is supposed to be as efficient as those eons and mirage.power I think is not an issue here in the province.roads are ok and traffic is non existent. I used to own a suzuki double cab nasa 0.6L lang yun and works pretty fine. Regretted selling It though.
If there will be no major problems with the repossessed wigo I might just go for it.sayang din yung 150k+ worth of savings and under warranty pa yung car.wait, warranty is transferable right? With that savings I can buy myself a new Mountain bike and more.hehe

Good deal nari ang wigo. Pero if you have some cash.

I'm trying to figure out why it has been repo'ed. Someone from another forum said that if alam na Nya na ma rerepo yung kotse Nya wawalanghiyain nalang daw nya.hehe.i guess this got me worried a bit since as is basis yung sa mga bank.i hope that's not the case with this one, might as well bring a mechanic who works for toyota and very familiar with the wigo for good measure.

SUGAL NAMAN TALAGA LAHAT NG BAGAY, pero just think of it, may logic itong katwirang to. Tignan mo pa tong punto na 'to, you can't expect somebody who is careless to their finances to be careful for their cars. Hehe.

Like kami 15 years ago we sold a 2 year old CIVIC HONDA kasi my folks are heading abroad, di na nila gagamitin, naibenta sa family friend, good buy. Ang masaklap, after 2 years ata nacarnap sa kanila, tsk tsk.

So yun lang, just my 2 cents.

Hi! Just got myself a Toyota Wigo G. Kakakuha ko lang po second hand, from an individual car dealer. Since this is less than 3 years, it should still be covered by the warranty. I just have a few questions which I hope you can help me with.

1- Is it necessary to process any change of ownership sa Toyota? Meron kasi akong nakitang change owner status sa warranty card, I'm not sure what that is for.
2- The kilometer reading is now almost 13,000 km. When I checked the warranty card, the next PMS is supposed to done at 15,000 kms or 9 months. The last PMS was May of this year, at 10,000 kms. Following the month rule, long overdue na sya sa PMS di po ba? Will this void my warranty? Ang sabi kasi sa akin ni dealer, the kilometer reading is more important and the timeline does not matter.
3- I've read somewhere that certain modifications may void the warranty. The previous owner changed the parklights. Will it void the warranty?
4- How do I make the Navigation System work? Walang nangyayari pag pinipindot ko.
5- How do I make the USB work? May USB port sa side. Pag sinaksak namin dun yung USB, walang nangyayari. I'm not sure if sa SD slot ba dapat icoconnect?

Last is at 3800 (odometer reading) hindi ko kasi na-avail yung 1k so dinala na agad for 5k. Ngayon po ang sabi sakin ang next is 8k/10k or after 3 mos. Ang question ko is hindi ko naman maaachieve yung 8k-10k within 3mos feeling ko hirap pa akong i-3k yung trip ko and mauuna yung 3 mos need ko pa rin ba siya i-pacheck nun kahit hindi pa 8-10k? Parang sayang kasi. Thanks

    2. Yan din ang sabi sakin ng dealer; na mag-base nalang sa kilometer reading, so that's what I'm doing.

    3. No. Plug and play lang ang parklights AFAIK. Installing a new horn, or an alarm system na hindi casa ang nag-install MIGHT void the warranty sa electrical. I say might kasi depende din sa dealer, if they think na that particular modification was the cause of malfunction nung whatever you're claiming warranty for. As for the engine, void na ang warranty once you decide to have the oil changed elsewhere.

    4. You'll need a GPS antenna, and the SD card containing the nav app and maps. There are lots of shops na nagbebenta nung GPS antenna. Yung SD card can be had from Toyota for a whopping 8,000 pesos It'll be cheaper and better (if you need traffic-based navigation) to use Waze.

    5. The input source of headunit should be set to USB Audio. You'll find it there in the main menu.

Having an average fuel consumption of less than 10km/l in a wigo means you are always in a very heavy traffic or you just have a bad driving habit. It may not be as fuel efficient compared to those with cvt, but the wigo is not fuel thirsty.

Hi to all... I have a Wigo G series acquired June of 2014 and after 5 months i experienced problems with the Idle it keeps on rev till 3k to 4k rpm even when on full stop and when you turn off the AC it will go down a bit and good thing the vehicle is manual transmission i can just put it on neutral but still you would hear the engine as though it really angry and ready to race, and when i reported it to Toyota they cleaned the Throttle Valve and it worked the rpm went back to normal but after a 2 months with just using the vehicle within city limits the rpm went wild again and this time and it was worst than the last, I returned the unit to Toyota and they ordered a new Throttle Body for the unit and it will be coming from Japan as they say, Luckily it only took more than a week and the parts arrived and was installed, they tested the unit numerous times and even used the gas that was on the unit when i returned it to them and they didn't even bothered to replace it, so they called and said that everything is fine and tested i got the same unit with the new throttle body installed everything was smooth no issues with the rpm, And now after a month here we go again having issues with the rpm same issue for a very long time and now i had the Toyota Branch where i got it to pick up the unit for i don't want to risk my life nor my partners life to be on an accident that the unit can cause.... Until now I am waiting for the Service Supervisor of the Toyota Branch to inform me of any update... My question is for those who own a Wigo have you encountered the same issues that i did with my unit? if you did what did they do to fix it? I just want to know if this is an isolated case or not... I'm sure that they will not replace the unit... Also for those who are Car techy what would be the main problem for this to happen? is it only the Throttle Body can it be Box or other mechanism/parts? This Unit is mainly being used by my partner as service for the kids to school so imagine what can happen if the kids are on board and this would happen, I being a male and had been driving for a long time would be able to handle it but my partner can't... Looking forward on hearing some feedback from other Wigo owners out there... Thanks

They should check the electrical connections of the throttle body to the ECM and the sensors. They should also double check the calibrations using their scanners.
