True, they should've. But, you know, it's the cheapest Toyota right now. I guess features like this and the non-functional door ajar light on the dashboard are some of the features they "skipped" to make it affordable.
Personally I don't mind. I guess blessing in the disguise na din na I came from an older vehicle with none of the things the Wigo has by default now. Makes me appreciate it despite the shortcomings.
Possibly, though gabi na kami nandun sa Wack-Wack and I always check the lights, but back then not each door... Well, minor lang naman... Lesson learned...
As for the extra key, nah di namin dala. Kasama ko si misis din nun, and nasa bahay yung spare...
Hi guys any news with the 2016 model?
Im planning on getting the Wigo as my first car
Im caught in a dilemma between Wigo and Vios
its just a matter of how can i fit this one in my budget.
I also want to ask, is the TRD version only has the body kits?
its still cheaper compared to vios 1.3e a/t (if im going for the looks lol)
and any other tips on whether or not the Wigo G and the Wigo G TRD is good for my money.
I'm kind of considering the cosmetics of the TRD but are there any cheaper alternatives to give the wigo a more
sporty look?
What am I going to do with the car:
1. City driving - point a to b
2. Occasional out of town ride (luzon trip ex. baguio, ilocos, baler, laoag, quezon, bicol etc)
3. Occasional heavy load; im a musician so the heaviest that i think that i can place in the trunk is a combo amplifier, 2 guitars and 3 persons.
thanks!
The TRD variant has all the skirts and the navigation package, AFAIK. You can get the skirts for 6k (copy) flat black. You'll have to cough up extra to have it painted to match the body color, but I believe the skirts cost 50K+ from the casa, so, yea. Also, the navigation package costs 9K from Toyota, but there's also a seller who sells an alternative navigation package for 3.5K.
You'd be better off getting the Wigo G, and then customise the car to your liking via alternative add-ons at par if not better in quality but cheaper in price.![]()
Hatchbacks are great for hauling stuff, since you have the option to fold down the passenger seats to double the storage capacity. Just last week, we bought a 7.5kg washing machine. I was skeptical that it'll fit in the Wigo, but magically it did, with the seats folded down. Colour me impressed! We wouldn't have been able to take it home if we had taken our Vios instead. :D
The only problem with the trd variant has that it is only available in a/t. I prefer to drive an m/t in traffic over an a/t. For the load, the rear can fit 5 5gallon water bottles with the rear seatbacks up. It's kinda fun to speed the wigo but the power is subjective. If you want more power, get a bigger car, this car is more on fun and balance.
Thanks guys! yeah I also prefer M/T but we opted for the A/T since my partner is going to use it as well, don't want to give her a hard time driving a car.
would it void the warranty if we go for after market accessories? (skirts etc)
and where is the best place to get these?
really sorry first time here, I only know where to get the basic spare parts, hehe Tuazon and Evangelista.
with power and size aside, any other advantages of the Vios compared to the Wigo?
Since you're opting for the AT variant, fuel consumption. :D That VVT-i is nice, something the Vios has and the Wigo doesn't. Our older Vios MT gets roughly the same (sometimes better) fuel consumption than the Wigo MT in pretty much the same conditions.
Primarily my fault, as I made modifications on the Wigo; bigger rims, wider tires and sound deadening.
I suggest test driving both the cars, so you get a firsthand experience on how both "feels in your hand". The only thing I can vouch for is that the Wigo is spacious, comfortable, CUTE (can't stress this enough) and FUN to drive.
magkano pala ang pagpapalagay ng sound deadening?
my friend will get her Wigo by this weekend. any tips on how to take care of the wigo?
BTW, sabi ng SA na kausap namin kagabi, by January, magtataas ang Wigo ng SRP nila, pero 5,000 lang naman.
It costs 1,200 per sheet dito sa shop nearest to me. 1200 for each of the doors = 4800, labor fee included. Mahal sya, yes, pero I saw na parang double layer ang ginawang installation (inner and outer parts of the door), so I guess that justifies the cost.
Have her read the user manual, as that tiny book is a treasure-trove of incredibly useful Wigo information. She won't need to consult other people on basic stuff like what tire pressure to use, recommended oil viscosity, and even how to replace the cabin filter herself.my friend will get her Wigo by this weekend. any tips on how to take care of the wigo?
If she wants to keep the car running smoothly, regular oil changes and maintenance is paramount. If you take care of the car, it'll take care of you.
That is expensive, sound deadening AcousticPad costs 250-300 per sheet. So if they use 4 sheets that is 1200. So labor is around 3.6k more than double the materials. That's why I did DIY, just bought the sheets and installed it myself took 4 hours with yosi break and rest in between.

does it work, po? is traffic noise effectively reduced on the inside?
those thin and light aluminum-faced sheets are sound-deadening ?? they look like poorly designed echo-reducers or heat reflectors...?
i thought real sound-deadening material is expensive and heavy (it has to be, for it to be truly effective). and my concern would be its effect on the vehicle. it would be like having an extra smaller passenger at all times..
but perhaps i am living in the past... back when sound deadeners were the thickness and consistency of shoe sole material..
heh heh.
my apologies..
