if the engine of the new suzuki swift is indeed K14B then it's made in china
gasoline engine K14B - Detailed info for gasoline engine K14B,gasoline engine, gasoline engine K14B,K14B on Alibaba.com

hay!! sayang naman parang changhe motors pala ang gumagawa ng engine. I might as well
buy na lang their own brand yun pala ang engine use ng suzuki.

I think how it goes is the car is assembled in Japan but the engine comes from china? What are you guys' thoughts on a china built engine? I wonder if anyone has the new swift yet in automatic. If so would you happen to have a Fuel consumption in metro manila driving. TIA.

yan din sir naisip ko, im torn right now sa swift and fiesta. na test drive ko kanina swift, sarap idrive. SA told me CBU japan daw, if ever china made nga yung engine ok lang siguro yun, kasi pasado naman sa suzuki. saka sa sinabi ng iba na parang changhe motor lang to ewan ko lang, IMO lang po kasi even china can make good engines, as long as may budget lang. syempre yung china made ones na pang masa eh meju budgeted kaya ganun ang kinalabasan. sa mga tsikoteers using beni and chery models dito im not saying pangit ride nyo. just my opinion lang po. peace all

    hi mga sir/maam,

last week iv'e seen the new suzuki swift, may exhibit kasi suzuki in sm city here in iloilo. i was smitten sa porma ng swift and naka 16 rims 185/55 tires. it's equipped with electronic rack and pinion steering, 14"ventilated discs upfront with leading and trail drum at the rear. suspension infront is a macpherson strut with coil spring while at the reara torsion beam with coils. safet features dual airbags as standard, immobilizer and things just the same as ost new cars have right now. test driven the swift manual yesterday and it was good.

now question for 2011 swift owners.

as this would be our first car:

fuel consumption? city and highway please

are the aftersales parts sufficient enough?

and are there some minor problems regarding with your new swift?

i know it's very new in the market and maybe has no problems whatsoever, just wanna hear your opinions and avices guys. TIA (all comments are very much welcome)

Saw the car sa megamall kanina. Ganda. Still quite cramped in the back pero better than the previous model. Its cbu Japan. I dont know about the engine but the body, tires and most parts have made in japan in them. Pag kinatok mo yung body hindi sya tunog lata, unlike most subcompacts. Yung ibang plastic parts sa engine naman by Bosch made in Germany. Only 2 variants. 1.4L MT and AT lang.

Mga dapat mong alamin eh safety 5star ang euro ncap rating ng swift may esp 4 disc brakes at yearly ang service timing chain instead of timing belt compare mo sa ibang brand keyless entry start me overdrive off switch

I really like the swift..gusto ko sana kumuha..my problem lang is the dealer and sales agent ng Suzuki Iloilo.. ang patong nila sa Manila price is more than 50 thou..iyan daw ang freight nila.. but since, dami ko rin friends sa Ford, Honda and Mitsubishi here in Iloilo na ang patong from Manila price is just 20thou..which I think is reasonable for the freight from Manila to Iloilo. At saka suplado ang agent na tinanong ko..sabi nya..pag ayaw ko ng price nila sa Manila na lang ako kumuha ng swift.

From TopGear AUg 2011 issue, the 2011 Swift got 15.9Km/L fuel consumption, 666.8km distance / 42Liter tank capacity.

Di lang stated kung A/T or M/T ung ginamit/.

Mukhang matipid nga bagong swift, this is the main reason yata of the change of engine displacement from 1.5 to 1.4 tapos pinagaan pa yata.. My wife's swift 1.5 MT sa info display nya ave for city is 9.8 - 10.2 km/L pag mixed it can go upto 12 km/L....
