Yup, dati pa magaang paa ko... Am hoping nga to find a good vacuum gauge (like Veglia Borletti) so I can find out how most economically to drive and shift sa Jimny.
These days, when I start getting the urge ibaon ang pedal sa traffic and stoplights, I try to concentrate na lang on listening to music that I love and try to play. Nagiging parang auto-pilot nalang yung pagmamaneho!
I finally found and bought the Veglia Borletti Vacuum Gauge I've been wanting... but now I can't decide whether I want to install it and chance on voiding the casa's (engine) warranty.![]()
kabit na yan hehe. parang ganito yan?

Good evening mga boss... Ask ko lang po regarding a newly purchased 2003 Jimny Manual Tranny SE, kapag arangkada ko sa 1st gear at 2nd gear may ugong ako nadidinig lalu pag nasa peak na(above 2k rpm about to shift) ng 1st at second gear, yung ugong parang tunog pag reverse/umaatras ng mejo mabilis, di naman sobra lakas pero dinig talaga, sigurado ko di sya sa engine kasi pag di naka engage ang gear or neutral kahit apakan ko gas hanggang high rpm wala yung ugong.
Normal po ba ito? Kung di po, ano po ang possible sira at san po recommended natin mechanic for this?
Thanks in advance.
Ask ko na din ano oil for tranny/differential and ilan liters. Thanks.
San po pala kayo nabili ng parts, bnew and surplus...

nakita ko lang sa youtube yan video not actually my car. balak ko din pakabit yun 3 gauge na vacuum/oil temp or press/ volt meter. kabit sa pillar kung pwede or patong sa gitna ng dash
on another topic...
Sometimes after I start up and turn on the air-con, amoy mabahong trapo yung buga ng air-con (parang yung ginagamit pang pahid sa mga lamesa sa ChowKing) for the first few minutes. Am not sure if this first happened after it rained hard overnight (walang bubong yung garage ko).
What I do now is: sa last 2-3 minutes bago ko patayin ang air-con at makina, lini-lipat ko sa high heat and high blower ang air-con. So far parang di na umulit yung ganun ka baho...
But does anyone know why this happens, and/or has a better solution?
Btw, pumapasok sa aircon yung exhaust fumes ng auto sa harap ko while in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Nasa recirculate naman ang setting ng air-con. I know this shouldn't happen in a brand-new car. Where should I be looking for the leak?
Thanks!
Jaime
no problems with the airconditioning having a nasty smell in the morning however i did notice the same with the exhaust fumes entering the cabin even in recirc mode. BTW had my 700km PMS. cost 3000 for 4.5 liters of ful syn oil. and just this morning started the jimny as usual then conked out after 1 sec parang naubusan ng gas. tried to restart the car . no go. started it again whirring sound from the engine bay. parang starter umiikot pero wala redondo. after 5 secs nagstart naman. weird. open parking din jimny ko
Hi, new to the forum...have an 05 AT for six months now...The one with manual transfer case... I noticed that my temperature gauge needle gets up to a little over one half of the dial... Is this the normal level...also owm an old toyota fx but needle on gets up to one third of the range... So was a bit concerned...water levels are ok in the reservoir and radiator
sakin a little less than half temp sa 2 month old jimny ko. baka palit coolant ka lang
when i got it eh green ang coolant.... and the needle was already at that level ever since.... so this week i drained it and used purified water...ganun pa din ang needle.... I've been using purified water in both my cars since 1997 when i opened a water refilling station..... at times ubos na ang water sa reservoir and kulang na ang laman ng radiatior... no overheating for both cars... park for an hour... and you will notice that your temp needle goes down... easy to cool hard to heat up... it takes a while for your temp to reach normal level.... i also use purified water also for my windshield washer.. no clogs... my 05 has racked up only 31000 kms on the odometer.... it probably is close to the normal level... thanks
Possible causes siguro ser, thermostat, waterpump, rad/aux fan, na try nyo na ba on at off aircon.

compared my temp readings to a 2011 where the gauge is horizontal while my 05 model is vertical... almost the same... brought the unit to my trusted mechanic and we tested it without aircon and the reading was the same... fans were opeating normally... constant temp in city or hiway driving... will monitor further...
Sir Vegetablejoe, saw your post sa Big Jimny... is the bluetooth adaptor for the obd2 port available here in the philippines?
Kindly PM forumite "AC" here on tsikot. I think he has just brought in OBD2 Scanner units, pero with USB connectors. If I understand it correctly, yung may USB connection ay pang iPod/iPhone.
Kindly also look-up OBD2 sa **************... the seller is from the Las Pinas and offers free testing before purchase, but only on the south side of town. The seller's brother, Juper, will be the one who meets-up for testing. His cfon# is +639153639131.
