August 17th, 2014 04:33 PM #2061re: wobble
read a lot about this on 4x4 phil and bigjimny.... they say a steering damper only hides the real problem and does not correct the cause.... read this: BigJimny Forum :: Topic: THE DEATH WOBBLE THREAD (1/4) it details the causes of the wobble... balancing and kingpin bearings are only two factors.... hope this helps....

August 17th, 2014 06:50 PM #2062re: tire size
in the jimny world, changing tires from stock is to achieve two things, more traction: from the original HT Duellers to an AT or MT.... or more clearance... from 205 to 215 or from 70 to 75.......... i now use Savero AT 205 70 r 15 on my 05..... the thread design will give you the traction you need when off-road... on road, the noise level is not that audible... as for height, my outer diameter is 668 mm.... if you were to change to a 205 75 r15 your outer diameter will go to 688.5 mm or you are now have gained a little higher clearance of 3% without rubbing or almost an inch, if you go 215 70 15 your outer diameter will go to 682.5 slightly smaller gain..... a 2.1% gain.... without modification, both will fit a jimny........i got my Savero at 3850 per tire way back early 2012... there are price increases as the tire gets bigger.... so far so good......

Congrats bro. The 1K tune uo is to adjust the cylinder heads, so I was told. The 5k is the usual PMS. If fully synthetic dapat 10k lang but i suggest you follow the manual to avoid voiding your warranty in case of future claims.
I think therefore I am...

August 27th, 2014 11:47 PM #2070Any opinion on when to use fully synthetic oil? I've read before (in the 80's :-)) that you should not even consider shifting unless you have logged on at least 30k kilometers in your odometer. Any truth to this?
