Price will for sure go up. Dont think there will be an issue with the added weight. The additional torque of the diesel engine will be more than enough to compensate for this.

Hi guys,

For Jimny 2013 owners and above. Please check your unit if there is a cabin filter installed. I noticed one time that I can smell diesel fumes from jeepneys when I was stalled in traffic. Brought it to Suzuki E. Rod to have it checked and there really was no cabin filter installed. The dealership said that it really isn't included in new Jimnys. Unfortunately they run out of stock. I have to wait 2 weeks for their stocks to come in. It set me back Php 1,085. I hate to think that this maybe a cost cutting measure by the dealership. If they knew this all along they should have advised us so we can take remedial measures. I would also advise other owners of earlier model Jimnys to check theirs if you think this is important to you.

Wala talagang naka install na cabin filter sa jimny. Pero may slot. Try other dealership baka may available.

May sealing probs din ako, idk if sa weatherstrip or sa vent. I'm planning to cover the vent, maybe sometime kapag sinipag baklasin ang cowl iL do a writeup. JLX MT btw.

On some vehicles we blocked the vent during a/c service by sealing the flap that moves when you change from fresh air to recirculate mode.

The flap is usually on the evaporator housing. Accessed from under the dash or when evaporator is being serviced.

i'm wondering how it would affect the cost and the weight though...baka tumaas masyado and presyo ng jimny...at parang wala naman ata intercooler ang k9k sir? useless pa rin ang hood scoop kung sakali?

I guess its a top mounted intercooler, was discontinued in eu market on 2011 as per Mr. Wiki. Diesel motor are heavier so they compensate the power/weight ratio using turbo + intercooler and raising injection pressures using commonrail technology. Baka pumatak 1M ang diesel. Mukhang malabo nga ito, supercharging kit na lang siguro for M13A.

Ugh.. i cant wait that long its not even 5k kms yet.. Im thinking doing it from the outside, i know there must be some vent in the cowl that i could block. I just hope its not something else, parang sa ilalim galing eh, pag dumadaan ako sa tulay ng navotas naamoy ko fishy smell..hehe

Try going under the dash or remove the glove box door. See if you can move the evaporator housing enough para magsingit ng flat piece of rubber between the fresh air inlet and evap housing. This may require loosening some screws and bolts. Di ko pa natry sa jimny kasi.

Ok Doc iL try if my arms could fit under those tiny space under the dash. Parang alam ko na rin gagawin ng casa, unahan ko nalang. Sometimes akala ko yun dahilan kung bakit hindi masyado malamig aircon lalo na tirik araw, pero talgang mahina pala aircon ng suzuki..
