BTW, I could have bought another car (probably a K10) if I would add my APV's cost of ownership, hehe.

Spent more than 100k Php already with my second hand apv
at present and still having this humming sound in the rear
differential assembly when running above 35 kph.

Just want to add this, Don't buy this Omega autos security system
because it was not working after two month when I bought it.
I replaced it with a 4k Php Autopage brand now.

I also got this today there at 1,200.00 Php.

    Before

    After

    Just sharing, thank you.

boss Macky, na-try mo naba ipa tune-up apv mo? masyado malakas sa gas yan 7kms/L. Last dec. nagpalit nako ng timing belt & tensioner (casa e.rod ako bumili) at 95,000kms sabay tune-up pa-adjust ng valve lash. ang clearance na ginamit ko ay 0.13 intake then 0.20exhaust. okay humatak tapos city driving ko is 9 to 10 km/l, before 8km/l... ang byahe ko is from rizal to manila. diko pa na try ulit sa long drive baka malamang mas matipid. same age lang apv natin going 8yrs na apv ko this coming sept. Last year nagpalit din ako ng aux fan kasi nasunog kasama yung fan blade. ganyan talaga price ng aux fan. yung sakin binili ko sa casa e.rod.

A/T APV ko. Parehas G16 makina nila except that the G16A on APV's are distributorless na. M/T ba APV mo?

Walang leaks both sa engine, transmission at differential. Drives and feels like new pa rin naman sya. The only thing that needs replacement are my rear shocks. Since naka-specify sya for replacement sa 105k kms PMS, syempre I tried following it. Ayun, ayaw ng casa. Nasa loob daw sya ng gas tank at mahirap baklasin. Gumagana pa naman daw. Same as the water pump. Since di pa ako nagapapalit ng water pump and since I recently change my timing belt on my last PMS, I suggested na palitan na rin sya. Tinanggihan din ng casa. Gumagana pa naman daw...

This has been going on for about 2mos now. Had it checked sa casa on my 140k PMS and they didn't find anything wrong with the car.

    Anybody had any similar experience?

    Thanks.

Almost 8 years na rin our APV ( by july) and same as yours , still running well. Same experience on the coolant for the last two weeks. But No visible leaks. And it maybe the upper radiator hose ang culprit like you mentioned.

Sir, will adjusting the valve lash help in acceleration? Most of the time, hirap ang hatak ng APV namin and although kya naman mag 140 kph pero you can feel the gas pedal na parang ang bigat. Minsan when you want to overtake, I have to use pa the overdrive para sigurado. By the way, 2005 model with 50T plus kilometers. Consumption still at 7km/L. Thanks

And another thing pala boss zipspeed, pacheck mo rin pala pcv valve & hoses mo baka marumi pati air filter.

I used to have my sedan's aircon cleaned up once a year, right before the summer months. My unit turned 3 (67,000+ kms) last week and I haven't had it cleaned up. Di naman ni-rerecommend ng casa. I inquired at Suzuki Marcos Hi-way and it costs 8,500! They will first have it checked by a technician if it requires cleaning. The initial checkup is P500!

Also, nagpalit na ba kayo ng head unit? I'm contemplating on getting a Pioneer AVH 1450.

Newbie here, newbier than newbie.

Plano namin gamitin sasakyan papuntang trabaho Obando-monumento-eastwood at malls during day off's at out-of-town mga twice or trice a year. Madalas po isa lang sakay papuntang trabaho tapos pag punta malls mga 5 persons kaya we are considering the avanza j 5 seater kaso pag mag out of town kame kailangan mga 8-10 kasama kaya mas gusto namin APV.

Pwede ba yong 15-195 tires ???? Thanks in advance ulit ....
ANYBODY ALSO HAVE AN IDEA PLS SHARE NAMAN...

Nasa passenger side yung upper radiator hore. Natutuyo agad yung leak pag tama sa engine. Pero this is one of the reason lang why nauubusan ako ng coolant at tubig sa radiator. Apparently, meron pang ibang dahila since nagbabawas pa rin ako ng coolant at radiator water. Di na nga lang mabilis unlike before which lead me to believe na meron pang ibang cause. I willkeep you posted pag nahuli ko na sya talaga...

Casa recomends cleaning our a/c system once a year. Medyo madugo kasi magpalinis ng a/c natin since hindi basta basta nahuhugot yung evaporator natin from the dash. Talagang baklas ang dashcoard natin (kasama rear a/c sa cleaning). Nipon Denso Alabang charges Php6,500 for our APVs a/c cleaning. Same price sa Suzuki Alabang so decided to have it cleaned sa casa last 2010 which turned out to be a good move as nasira kasi yung digital clock ko in the process and casa replaced it free of charge (clock costs Php3k more or less).

I usually have my a/c system cleaned pag nararamdaman ko nang humihina ang lamig 'which is about once every 4 years.

Nagpalit na din ako ng O2 sensor. Mahirap laging naka ilaw CEL. Baka kasi may iba na palang problema, hehe. Medyo may kamahalan talaga sya, which is why di ko talaga mai-recomend APV sa mga kaibigan ko. Although bihira rin ang parts, I would recomend the Grand Livina than our APV simply because of the better ride, acceleration and mileage.

I guess mas ramdam sya sa M/T since mas lumakas hatak nung Esteem ko (same engine with the APV sans the distributor) nung nagpa-valve clearance din ako.

Also, I can only judge by the seat of the pants feel, mas naramdaman kong lumakas humatak yung M/T Esteem ko nung nagpalagay ako ng grounding kit. Not sure why though.

I agree with sir Macky to have the a/c system clean only if you feel it's not cooling
anymore because it's very costly and they have to open things to check the system.
Sometimes the plastic parts breaks and screws gets lost when they do this. Not to
mention the stains they leave on the seat covers, sidings and outside the car. They
may also tells you to replace the driers, expansion valves, replace the evaporator
if it has a leak or replace the shaft seals on the compressor if it leaks also and etc.
Better wait and do all of this in one time. Just my opinion, thank you.
