hi kenn. radiator hose with holes doesnt mean theres more problem with the engine. it could just mean the hose is already weak or just punctured.

replace your hose as soon as possible. the water in the engine is very important to avoid overheating and doing damage or more damage in the engine.

as for the check engine light. after filling up the radiator with water. try removing the ecu fuse for a minute or more. or remove the batter ground or positive for more than that. then attach again. it should reset the check engine light. but, if it still lights up after. you may have more problems than just missing radiator water. hth.

think the hose that leaked is the hose coming from the block going to the fire wall. it's the a hose about 1/2" diameter. it goes into the cabin, it circulates hot water from the engine block to the aircon heater. mine is already bypassed. made the a/c cooler, as even if you don't use the heater it will still radiate heat and affect temp. also did it to my sister's gen 1 crv.

1SMF po ang orig ng vitara sir Vitbox. just replaced mine last month, delkor ginamit ko. the motolite green it replaced lasted 2 years 2 months.

hi kenn. check out impulz's post. if yun yung sinsabi mo. thats still important to be sealed. or replaced. any leak of water or oil from the engine is bad actually.

Magaganda mga Vitaras mga sir, hindi nakaka-panghinayang. Highly recommended, lalo na mga Suzuki Grand Vitara. Nagkataon lang na parang hindi gaanong tinatangkilik ng Pinoy ang Suzuki, and we don't know what we're missing.

Laki ng paghanga ko sa Suzuki magmula ng naka-test drive ako at lalo na ngayon na Grand Vitara gamit ko. Samantala dati hindi ko man napapansin mga ito sa Pinas. Ngunit ng dahil sa mga nakita ko sa Suzuki dito, lalo na sa Grand Vitara at SX4 na 4x4, mas pinili ko si GV kaysa kay Subaru Forester 2.5 XT.

sige sir kunan ko din ng picture. di ko ma recall but it seems to be bigger than half an inch in diameter. although kung passage nga to ng hot water, possibleng eto din yung tinutukoy nyo kasi nung na puncture siya ay malakas yung sirit ng steam from the hose.

mga sirs, makihingi lang ng konting information (sa mga owners) about vitara 2006 model. balak kasi namin ni misis kumuha ng mas malaking sasakyan and may nag-alok kasi sakin nito, pero gusto ko muna sana malaman yung mga issue/s ng modelo na 'to (kung meron) and kung anu-ano usually mga nagiging problema. wala kasi ako masyado alam sa model na 'to. na-test drive ko na 'to, yung handling nya e ok naman and kumportable naman ako.

Sir Impulzz may nakita po akong engine diagram. same po ba ito dun sa warm air hose? Based po kasi sa diagram parang close match dun yung nasira kong hose.

Good day, question lang po, meron kami vitara 96 model automatic transmission. last week pinalitan na ung crankshaft pulley since pasira na sya then yesterday napansin ko na after ng cold start then warmup ng 5 mins, kapag mag drive na hinde umaakyat ng gear laging nasa 1st gear lang sya, after ng ilang minuto sya aakyat ng gear. May naka experience na kayo na ganitong scenario 2nd hand ung sasakyan hinde namin alam kung may napalitan na sa transmission.

try changing your a/t fluid and if your mechanic can pull down the a/t oil pan to clean the filter inside. mine sometimes on cold start won't engage reverse. but after a changing a/t fluid it did not happen again.

Does anybody know where I can buy a brand new radiator for a 96 Vitara aside from the casa?

Mine has a leak and the radiator shop said its beyond repair and all they sell are surplus radiators. The one in my vitara is also a surplus one from the previous owner. I prefer copper/brass radiators, but i am willing to get a plastic or aluminum one as well if the price is right.

Try mo sir sa Fronte (Banawe), Goodgear (Pasay). Relatives may ari nyan, dealer sila suzuki parts. Kung wala readily available pakiusap mo by order, mabilis naman, nung may pinakiusap ako pyesa for Jimny 4days lang ako naghintay.
