GEN I Suzuki Vitara 88-up [merged]

Good day mga sirs,

Ask lang po sana ako ng opinion nyo regarding sa problem ko sa vitara escudo AT (sidekick). Ang nging problem po nung sasakyan is yung crank shaft pulley need na pong palitan kasi nag wear-off n ung rubber nya in between plates. So last week after sya napalitan kila Mang Rod (Filmars) ng crank shaft pulley at the same time inayos na rin daw yung timing, nung na drive ko na, napansin ko na parang biglang mag slowdown even if nkakatakbo na ko ng mabilis. Parang bigla na lang nhihirapang mag accelerate. Bago napalitan yung pulley, oks nman yung acceleration nya, so bumalik ulit ako sa Filmars at inadjust ni Mang Rod ung acceleration cable, sabi nya yun lng daw ang pwede nya mgawa dun since AT daw kasi. After ng adjustment, ng drive ulit ako at gnun pa rin ang result nya. May kinalaman kaya yung timing sa pgbago ng takbo nya? Any inputs po regarding my problem mga sir? Thanks!

good day mga sir hingi lang po sana ako ng input kung anung possible na tama nung vitara JLX 96 model namin, we purchased the car as 2nd hand at interior and body is flawless reason why we did not hesitate to buy the car . when we did a test drive it was running good,as as we brought it home we noticed that the water from the radiator was almost empty the engine is overheating we brought it to the mechanic and was informed that it is a loose compression issue and the water is also mixing in with the fuel,they had to do a top overhaul change gaskets change radiator as well they also had the engine waorked on a machine shop,after 4 days they were able to accomplish the repair but there still issues on the engine the 3rd cylinder from the front is not working,we had it checked again at reys electrical found out that all the plug wires has electricity,also one issue is when we are driving uphill wlang hatak sa 2nd gear and the following gears kahit nakabwelo na,we need to stay at 1st gear para lang makaakyat,hingi lang po sana ko ng input kung anu po kayang reason kung bakit hindi gumagana yung 3rd cylinder at bakit ayaw humatak sa 2nd gear pag akyatan na,im planning to change the spark plugs muna but im not sure if it will fix it,anu nga po palang spark plug ang bibilhin ko TIA mga master NOOB kasi ako sa sasakyan

Seems ok ang condition ng interior at exterior.

What do you think of the price considering it is already an old vehicle.

sir swertehan ang pagkuha ng vitara sa panahon ngayon, kung kakilala mo buyer mas mabuti para malaman mo totoong history ng bibilin mo. Pero kapag naka-tiyempo ka ng maayos pa na vitara, you'll be satisfied sa performance. Almost 4 years na sa akin nakuhang kong vit at napaka-low maintenance parang hindi nasisira, minor lang mga pinaayos ko. Nagamit ko na sa mga off road at long distance travel like Baler, Bolinao,... Hindi naman ako nagkaproblema sa lahat ng travel ko.

Stock Vitara setup would allow us much as 235/75r15 or 29" Tires without rubbing. You can fit 30x9.5r15 but it will rub against the plastic bumper. You can have it skillfully cut by your seasoned latero and the cut would be negligible.

2) Old Man Emu also has this kit for 50K.

The Budget path:

(((IF You want a suspension lift))
1) You can simply go for 2" coil spacers (rubber or aluminum). They will increase ride height but will not give any extra articulation the way longer coils will.
2) You will need to put 2" extension brackets on your stock front struts (front shock absorbers) to compensate for the 2" additional height of the coils.
3) You will also need to get longer rear shock absorbers. There are a lot of affordable options for this. Stock shocks have a length of 19". So you need to get 21" or 22" long shocks. KYB Premium is the most affordable.
4) You will also need to adjust your camber alignments so you need to get camber bolts.
Estimated cost: 15K

Another option is a 2" Body Lift only. This does not alter any of your suspension geometry. All it does is lift your car's body 2" above the chassis giving a visual lift only. These are normally done to fit larger tires to prevent them from rubbing against the fender walls. But it gives the illusion of a lift.
Estimated cost: 6K

good day mga sir hingi lang po sana ako ng input kung anung possible na tama nung vitara JLX 96 model namin, we purchased the car as 2nd hand at interior and body is flawless reason why we did not hesitate to buy the car . when we did a test drive it was running good,as as we brought it home we noticed that the water from the radiator was almost empty the engine is overheating we brought it to the mechanic and was informed that it is a loose compression issue and the water is also mixing in with the fuel,they had to do a top overhaul change gaskets change radiator as well they also had the engine waorked on a machine shop,after 4 days they were able to accomplish the repair but there still issues on the engine the 3rd cylinder from the front is not working,we had it checked again at reys electrical found out that all the plug wires has electricity,also one issue is when we are driving uphill wlang hatak sa 2nd gear and the following gears kahit nakabwelo na,we need to stay at 1st gear para lang makaakyat,hingi lang po sana ko ng input kung anu po kayang reason kung bakit hindi gumagana yung 3rd cylinder at bakit ayaw humatak sa 2nd gear pag akyatan na,im planning to change the spark plugs muna but im not sure if it will fix it,anu nga po palang spark plug ang bibilhin ko TIA mga master NOOB kasi ako sa sasakyan

For the ARB kit, you can go to RATS4x4 along Katipunan.
For the Ironman kit, you can go to MONSTERWORX Steel Fabrications in c5 Extension near SM Sucat and look for Raymond Rivera...

If you wish to ask for the cheaper alternative I posted in the previous messages, send me a PM as there are many things to consider when you go that way.
