GEN I Suzuki Vitara 88-up [merged]

baka there is something wrong with either MAF sensor or idle position sensor... i experienced it once sa vit dirty MAF. idle was always at 900 to 1000. so asked my friend to check error code and viola MAF sensor error... so he just cleaned and ayos na swerte.

may problema nanaman ako sa vitara ko, nung nakuha ko kasi yung vitara, napansin ko na walang air filter na nakalagay sa air filter box, nung nilagyan ko ng filter at hinigpitan ko yung bolts and clamps, at pagstart ko e puti na yung lumalabas na usok sa tail pipe kahit na matagal na naka idle ganun parin, hindi rin stable yung idle nya. help naman mga sir .salamat.

may problema nanaman ako sa vitara ko, nung nakuha ko kasi yung vitara, napansin ko na walang air filter na nakalagay sa air filter box, nung nilagyan ko ng filter at hinigpitan ko yung bolts and clamps, at pagstart ko e puti na yung lumalabas na usok sa tail pipe kahit na matagal na naka idle ganun parin, hindi rin stable yung idle nya. help naman mga sir .salamat.

medyo mahirap i diagnose yan dito, mas mabuti makita ng mekaniko. puti kung steam(meron din sa vitara ko pag malamig makina), kung medyo blueish oil yan.

Una sa lahat: Wala akong Vitara.

Pag walang air filter ok pero pag meyron maputi usok at unstable idle. Maybe fuel air ratio ay hindi tama kasi was adjusted na walang air filter dapat readjust ayon sa standard. Baka mataas ang flow restriction ng air filter kaya kapos ang hangin na pumapasok. Try drop in filter like K&N baka sakali.

Na oversize na ba ang cylinder bore? My experience on my old carburated toyota corona many years ago: Namuti ang usok at kapos sa hatak kapag my air filter after the bore was oversized. Ang solution ko: I used filter mat (commonly use in aircon) as air filter. Problem was solved. HTH

d' best talaga vitara sa long drive at akyatan. I travelled from quezon city to Bolinao, Pangasinan with my vitara walang pahingahan antindi ng hatak at bilis. apat pa sa center seat at isa sa tabi ko passenger! hindi na rin mabigat consumption dahil nasa 11-12 km/l. After Bolinao, we tavelled to Baler, Aurora dun ko nakita tindi ng vitara, walang problema sa akyatan...

Good day po sa inyo mga sir, just want to share a problem on my vitara (escudo converted) Automatic Transmission
Last time ng post n ko dito, and some of the problems eh na fix na somehow. Pero i am still not satisfied with the result.

I just observed the following
1. Kapag ng hard break po ako, then mag proceed n with driving, hindi kaagad siya kakagat. I expect kasi na once i release the break dpat aandar. Ang nangyayari po kasi, hindi siya agad aandar then, bigla ng lng syang aandar n may kasamang malakas n forward movement. As if parang nabanga yung likod ko. Pakiramdam ko nanikit yung break then if its time to release na parang naiipit tuloy siya.

2. Kapag mainit ang panahon at nkabukas ang aircon, and i was in traffic. My squeaking sound po ako naririning. Mas madalas po ito lumbas kpag nag steer n g wheel habang stationary

Any input regarding po dito will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

check mo yung transmission cable connected sa accelerator.. baka need ng adjustment.. sa squeaking naman check mo yung crankshaft pulley baka need na replacement

Bro most probably:

On #1 Check your clearance on the brakes baka masyado malapit. Also check mo din hydraulic piston ng brake sa harap at likod kung nag stuck up.

On #2 baka kailangan mo na magpalit ng belt o kaya maghigpit ng belt o check mo din sa tensioner ng belt baka bearing may problema. Also check the fluid.

I think it may not cost a thousand pesos kung yan lang problema.

kagagaling ko lng kay sir Rod ng filmars. ung belt lng daw maluwag. so hinigpitan nya. sana mging ok na. mmya ko p lng atually ma test eh. Yung sa break, sabi nya sa transmission daw un. Kaso di daw nya forte ang automatic transmission eh. Chineck nya ung ATF ko parang kulang daw, so dingdagan nya. Ill test later kung mangyayari p yung problem nananinikit na break.

- im a vitara owner from baguio city. i've swapped my 96 honda vtec for this powerful beast, no regrets 101% satisfied owner. i even towed my cousins land cruiser using my vit hehehe malakas talaga sa akyatan kahit naka normal driving ka lang. cheers!
