that's what i keep saying, not just the power, even the handling won't be the same. plus the impreza internal engine components won't last since it's not designed to be turbo'd.

Well i guess this answers all my queries guys, thanks to those who replied..
i know this car will be worth it..and it's still in my wish list
btw, are spare parts expensive compared to other japanese cars? and mahal din ba service tnx

service is ok, just like a regular japanese car. parts not so sure, i've heard how expensive the headlights are, but if you know anyone from outside of the country that can get it for you then you won't have any problems.

not only headlights, but windshield too Mine costs 79K for the glass and install, buti covered ng insurance.

Now I disovered many parts outside of MI. What I do lang is have MI install them. Like my Swift Sport springs.

arnoldc is right, i think the expensive items are only the headlights(hid set kasi) and the windshield(i think it has electronic connections)... otherwise the other parts cost around the same as other japanese brands.

ams maganda buy a sports car na lang rather than having all the upgrades and having it turbo-ed

My 1st week gas consumnption is at 7 to 8 kms per liter... Depending on traffic.... Last week's traffic in Metro was not that bad compare to regular school days.

bakit kaya di pagisipan ng MI ide-tune yung Boxer Diesel engine nila from EU4 to EU2 like Hyundai and Kia did? para naman madala na nila dito yung Impreza 2.0D dito.. siguro tataas ang sales nila dahil mas mura ang diesel dito sa pinas.. and the impreza 2.0D has very good FC.. 47.9MPG combined..

Congrats... magkano mo nakuha? yong friend ko kasi bumili ng 2nd hand na STI 2million. alam ko 2.6M ang brand new na STI.

Ang Impreza i think is 1.150M manual, 1.263M automatic. naka discount ka ba? sang casa mo kinuha. Balak ko kasi Impreza or STI ang 4th car ko. thanks.

McQueen: when I bought mine in 08, they had a promo for cash buyers. Less 70k (the RS automatic was at 1.14 m then). I went on my own to BDO to get a car loan (not through MI). I got a great rate from BDO and the discount of 70k from MI. So the cost of my RS ended being the same cost of the RS manual.

I just test drove an A/T hatch yesterday and loved it. it was a long and exciting route.
If only they would give me a good discount, I would have ordered yesterday, but they couldn't daw.
Any tips on how to get one with a good discount? The only thing stopping me from reserving is the price. Its a 100k over my budget. If only it sold for 1.1M or around that...
So how did the others get discounts?
