i made the mistake of installing 265/75/16 on a 16x7rims, i did not feel and see the maximize effect of the tires, but when i changed the rims to 16x8, the tires looked really massive and wide.

I have 265/70/16 tires on a 16 x 7 rims. Will I get the same effect if I switch to 16 x 8? TIA

IMO if your planning to change tires without changing the stock mags...I think you should just stick with the 245's kasi parang alanganin talagang tingnan yung 265's sa very narrow mags...and as I could remember there are safety issues yata when using big tires o narrow mags....

anyhow, since nabanggit mo yung 245/75 which is new to my ears...you might as well try it...kasi AFAIK wala pa nag tatry nyan.....another one who tried a unique size was our member from cebu....si TK...235/80/16 stock mags...maganda tingnan on the strada....pang rally size kasi yun...

yup sir..maganda parin...but what you could do is try mo muna yung tires before you buy the flares...may nakita kasi ako walang flares pero wide yung tires macho ding tingnan....

for the 245/75 Im positive that walang rubbing but not too sure though...Im not even sure if that size exists...hehe.... pero kung may makita ka pwede mo namang isukat yun sir...

wow...unique sizes come with a hefty price pala hehe...IMO lang sir why not settle na rin for the 245/75? kahit na mas mahal sya sa 265's you would probably get a nicer height gain pa without changing mags....

when I was using my stock 17" mags with 265/70 its width is only 7" not too much muscles is seen.... but when I change the mags to 17x9 it was a dramatic change in appeal...the side wall was bulging like it was working out....

BTW guys....

I was lurking around sa mga tindahan ng car accesories about a week ago.... may nakita akong mickey thompson BAJA radial 265/70/R17 yan yung old model ng mickeys kahit sa official dealer ng MT dito wala na silang ganung stock hehe..... 5k lang each sabi nung dealer one set pa daw yun....PM nyo nalang ako kung intrested kayo....sabihin ko sainyo kung san yung dealer...

I was able to meet up with Fellow BOSB Mighty Max at the Mitsubishi-Motorplaza showroom and service center (my weekly tambayan) and i got to see his Strada... fitted with the Pajero Field Master Ralliart mags (painted white) and an interesting swap that he did with his Montero Sport:



in exchange for what is to be found in the Montero Sport:



according to Mighty Max, exchanging fascia and painting the bumper to their respective colors was easy. the challenge was with the electricals for the Headlamp assembly since the Strada was a single Bulb as compared to the Monty's dual Bulb. To this date- both trucks STILL works well and continues to be a head turner... hehehe...

IMO bagay na bagay yung front ng 2010 Strada sa Montero Sport. Pero yung front ng Montero Sport sa Strada eh medyo di maganda (sorry)

Kung medyo madilim yung single bulb ng Strada, Retrofit po ang katapat niyan.

Finally.... bought my self a new set of tires..... settled for 245/70.... medyo na ninipisan ako pero ok narin.... bawi nalang sa offset ng mags pag nagpalit ako para medyo lumabas ng konti.....

tried making some phone calls from evanghelista, banawe and blumintrit and came into a conclusion na mas mura pa sa mga main supplier mismo.... halos lahat sila ang bigay sakin ng tires nasa 7K.... got it from minerva west gate ng 5K+ lang.

by the way heres some picture of my ride... di ko papala na ipopost since nakuha ko.
