With its Successive Fun Runs to the North namely Baguio (Nov. 2008), Sagada (Nov 2009) and Mount Pulag (April 2010), The Strada Club of the Philippines, in cooperation with its Baguio/Northern Luzon Chapter is pleased to announce The Pagudpud-Ilocos Fun Run. This event will take place from November 27 to 29, 2010.

BOSBs/Participants of the occasion will enjoy the explorations that the Ilocandia can offer from its Delicacies, Scenic Tourist Spots to name a few.

Please signify your intention to join this great activity! A head and truck count are needed at the earliest possible time for the allocation of room accommodations and parking slots. Thank you.

Description: This is a combination of what Sir G01 had in mind together with a little intervention from me.

November 26, 2010
6:00pm - 7:30pm: Assembly of the Main contingent at S4S Autohub (I think it is best for the contingent to assemble here due to its proximity to NLEX- closer to the New Mindanao Ave. exit, I guess.)
7:30pm: Departure to the North via NLEX, SCTEX and McArthur Hiway

November 27, 2010
3:00am - Meet up with the Baguio/NL Chapter Contingent at Oasis, McArthur Highway, San Fernando City, La Union (no need to go up to Baguio)
3:15am: Departure to Vigan, Ilocos Sur
7:45am-9:45am: Arrival at Vigan, Ilocos, Sur; Breakfast at the Fastfood Restaurants around Plaza
Salcedo/Saint Paul's Cathedral and Walk around Calle Crisologo
Note: This is where Sir EkwinOKS and the Ilocos based BOSBs will meet us.
9:45am-11:30am: Proceed to Baluarte (Chavit Singson's Mini Zoo)
11:30am-1:00pm: Proceed to Villa Angela for Lunch (refered by BOSB manuelaiii)
1:00pm - 3:00pm: Departure to Ilocos Norte
3:00pm - 4:30pm: Touraround: Malacanang of the North, Sand Dunes (semi off-road)
4:30pm - 6:30pm: Touraround: Burgos, Ilocos Norte- The Lighthouse and Windmills
6:30pm - Head back to Laoag, Ilocos Norte for Check-Inn at Accomodations.
7:00pm - Dinner and Nightcap (will check if there is Curfew)

November 28, 2010
8:00am - 11:00am: Latest time to Wake Up; Breakfast/Brunch; Swim/Scuba; Slack-off time to miggle with Co-members and Guests
11:00am 1:30pm: Fun Run Around Laoag City
1:30pm - 2:30pm: Late Lunch
2:30pm - 6:30pm: Visit the Windmills and Viaduct by Sunset
6:30pm till sawa: Dinner Time at Laoag and Nightcap

November 29, 2010
4:00am - 5:00am: Wake Up and Preparation
5:00am - onwards: Departure from Laoag, Ilocos Norte to back home (Baguio/Manila)

Participants and would-be participants, Feel free to suggest any changes and we will be reviewing it.

Note: A Test-Run/Mini-EB has been scheduled during my day-offs (September 27/28) to assess and check out the places as well as the accomodations. A mini-EB can also be held as Sir EkwinOKS was able to tap some local Strada Owners already.

me mga transient houses sa blue lagoon area before patapat viaduct,
blue lagoon is where hanna's resort and kapuluan is also located (i prefer kapuluan cheaper than hanna's.

pwede din sa bandang laoag, Java Hotel pang pamilya 2k above, or yun parklane, budgetmeal - inn type ;) madami pa hotel sa laoag city, yun katabi ng max resto near the cityhall ;)

sa vigan, i have stayed before sa gordion inn, nakita ko na din vigan plaza hotel -nasa plaza lang sya tapat ng max resto.


Or baka sagot ni Ekwinoks ang Accomodation ;)

btw compare nyo ang vigan and laoag empanada, longaniza, bagnet at yun pinakbet pizza. na try ko na parehas 1week ago, i prefer vigan bagnet, longaniza, pinakbet pizza, sa laoag-batac is the double empanada busog ako heheheh ;)

I believe we will be staying at Pagudpud- based from Sir G01's sneak preview thread (locked).

A more definitive itinerary (Version 2) including recommended places to stay will be posted days after the test run. Thank you for bearing with us.
