Just had my timing belt replaced at Diamond Greenhills. They had a promo for the timing belt replacement. Instead of paying P23,050, they offered a 35% discount for the parts and labor. I just payed P17,014.80 for the timing belt and oil seal replacement, parts and labor. The promo ended today.

Yes, Diamond Greenhills now has a service center. All of their equiptments are new, and they are the only Diamond Motor service center that has a computerized wheel alignment machine.

Just finished my change oil this afternoon using top1 revolution 5w-40 with a rating of api - cj-4. First impressions, mas tumahimik pa makina ko, tahimik na siya to begin with, mas tumahimik pa siya ngayun! As for engine response, emissions, fuel consumption, etc... Lets wait a few more days then i'll write about it again. But so far i have a feeling that i'm going to be extremely happy with my decision to upgrade to a oil with a higher rating than the cd/cf rating required by mitsubishi!!!

Side note, shell hx7 and hx5 have cf ratings and have been showing good results with tests, plus they are a whole lot cheaper!!

At sir arvin, yup maganda po yung SHELL HX7 10w40. Got my change oil SCV cleaning and Brake cleaning for a labor of 1000 pesos only at FREEWAY Isabela...and the technicians are very good. Perfomance of HX7:From Top1 synthetic to Hx7 lalong tumahimik sir yung engine and tumipid me konti sir kasi from Echague Isabela(Full Tank) to Ilagan Isabela and Ilagan Isabela to Urdaneta Pangasinan and from Pangasinan to Baguio via Marcos Highway ay mataas pa sa kalahati yung tanke sir.

Freeway Motors Isabela:

Shell HX7 10w40 Synthetic (10kms)
-2 gals=Php.2640; 1320 per gallons (may natira pa me 1 liter)

Mga bossings, here's my problem scenario: I'll cut it short and I need replies asap.

Casa1 forgot to clean my aircon during my 20k PMS last year November. Napansin ko parang blower na lang ang aircon ko the past weeks. So having a lot of past headaches with Casa1 dinala ko sa Casa2 last Saturday fo checkup. BTW, both Casas are under one management.

Here's Casa2 story.

Saturday - Morning. Di raw nila maayos ang aircon ko dahil di naglalabas ang planta ng weekend. At wala silang stock. AT first, they charge me 25k for the repair pero nung sinabi ko na under warranty ako, freon charge na lang daw. They found out thru computer na Casa1 didn't clean my aircon during my 20k PMS. I tried to keep cool. Balik na lang daw ako ng Monday.

Monday - Early morning dinala ko ulit. SA called me in the afternoon that it will take them time to find the problem. Update niya ulit ako tomorrow Tuesday.

Tuesday - SA called and he's charging me 62k for the repairs the planta will not release the parts dahil di raw na checkup ang aircon nung 20k. I told them it's error on their part and I'm not paying for their mistakes. SA said he'll call the other SA sa Casa1 to work on the problem.

Wednesday - As of this writing, Casa2 SA texted me he'll charge me 14k for the evaporator. Yung condenser under warranty. So I got two parts na sira - condenser and evaporator. The latter di pumayag ang planta.

I haven't replied yet. Tama ba ang pricing ng evaporator? DO I have to pay at all? I find it a bit expensive for a part.

What will I do?

Sir in my opinion, kasalanan ng Casa 1 yung di paglinis ng aircon mo kasi the evap-condenser work as one and they must be maintained....dahil sa kapabayaan ng walang hiyang casa na yan e sila dapat ang magadjust for you sir....or pagala na paraan talaga hanap ka na lang ng authorized mitsubishi parts dealer kasi sobrang mahal sa casa sir.

Sir,ang ginawa sa akin kasi clean and inspect Air purifier filter sa Heavy PMS ko as indicated in thier service booklet. Yung Air purifier filter ay in-corporated po sya sa airconditioning system natin as indicated in the manual po natin.ang problema kasi sir pagmadumi na air purifier filter natin ay idra-drag nya aircondition to perform at its maximum operation therefore stressing the motor side po kaya sya masisira....ganun din po sa honda service centers sir. Sir covered po ng warranty aircon natin according to service booklet (the blue one), ang hindi lang kasama ay yung refrigerant...sir nagbase lang me booklet natin and manual.tnx

. Yung mga stated brand ko po ay abot kaya ng bulsa sir. and ang alagaan po natin na isa sir yung ECU natin po kasi control lahat tayo ng ECU...please ask sir Tp, sir Ranic(aka Grand lakay) and Sir spyke for the lecture on CRDi-egr,CRDi-VGT and Clutch proper launch and release po.

hi sir!

some questions lang regarding your case before I give my take on it...

first, what do you mean sir na nakalimutan on the 20k kms? did the SA already told you that you aircon is already due for cleaning? and then when you agreed to clean it up saka nila nakalimutang linisin?

because AFAIK there is no specific time or range on KM reading on when the aircon should be cleaned...like in my case Im running 62k kms already with all the hustle and bustle of city/NLEX+some offroad trips and still my aircon is working 100% fine W/O it being touched nor cleaned by the casa...

Second, although I can say that it is really early for the aircon to be cleaned at 20k kms, but unless your trips can really generate lots and lots of dirt to pile up on the aircon system then I guess it is already due for cleaning...But knowing how most of the casas operates...there's quite some fishiness on the 20k kms recommendation on cleaning the A/C sytem...

third and IMHO, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE CHARGED YOU WITH ANYTHING in the case of repairing your aircon system, because first, it is not your fault that the 1st casa forgot to clean your A/C system based on their recommendations (REMEMBER you are willing to pay even though its really early in time IMO to clean the A/C and its already within their discretion to do or not to do the recommended cleaning), 2nd, AFAIK the aircon parts are not included on the wear and tear items and has an expected life span much longer than the warranty period the only clause their is that you should do the proper aircon maintenance which is the cleaning of it....So try to reason out everything, nakukuha naman yan sa tamang pagususap you just have to know when and where to hit right buttons... hope it helps...and all goes well with your case...

These are the times that I can really say na its good that hindi tayo nag si-seek ng full blown incentives/sponsorships sa MMPC....Imagine, kung we are under into such agreement na kahit wala namang clause regarding this things, out of delicadesa nalang...ang irereply ko lang dito sa case ni sir Idoy eh "ok lang yan sir magagawan ng paraan ng casa talagang mahal lang mag maintain ng strada"

I found out only last Saturday that my aircon wasn't cleaned during my 20k PMS. I'm nearing the 25k mark and I'm due to my next PMS. The big question: should I bring this again to these 2 reliable casas?

AFAIK, it's not my duty to remind them to inspect/clean/checkup. That's their job and they're paid for it. What I can't understand is they're charging me for their mistake - for neglecting the aircon inspection/checkup DURING my 20k PMS.

AFAIK, I did some research - aircon should be cleaned/inspected for the first year or 20K whichever comes first. And I have this gut feeling that they never did any job at all.

It's already Thursday. And getting a taxi to my office is a pain. Not to mention client meetings. The SA's? I have to call/remind them for updates. They think it's my job to remind them too.

That's efficiency on my part.

Anyways, I'm calling their managers later. It seems I can't feel the urgency on their part and just taking their sweet time on this matter.
