Sa mga mag pa check up ng strada.. request nyo na buksan yung EGR for cleaning. Sa akin kasi may nagadvise na mekaniko na pabuksan ko dahil dito na iipon yung carbon deposit.. from engine to intercooler then back sa manifold, kaya strainer ito ng carbon. supposed to be na 2 inches yung diameter ng EGR upon opening mga 2 cm nalang ang butas at tumigas na carbon ang andun.. kailangan pa ng small grinder or polisher para matangal yung carbon deposit sa EGR. pag hindi natanggal siguradong sira ang EGR nyo. Lalo na dun sa malapit na mawala sa warranty. sana makatulong ito sa inyo

Thanks for the advice, sir. I also heard about this EGR cleaning from my SA. Regarding your 40k PMS, ang dami namang extra income generating tactics na di naman talaga kailangan like gas/diesel treatment, engine flushing, etc... Yung car care kit at engine protector, mas mura pa kung sa suking car wash na lang... Ano yung shop consumables? Yun ba yung free coffee dapat... Sa presyong P234, sana may kasamang clubhouse sandwich o pasta...

Was also wondering bakit ganoon kadami, since I always check on my dipstick regularly (engine cold) and it seems halos wala pagbabago level ng oil. I overheard the other day at diamond fairview one of the SAs telling the other customer (montero) that 2 liters is needed for the top-up. so I guess SOP nga nila ito. But could somebody enlighten us how the 1.5 gets consumed? By the way, I remember that only once did they give me back the excess oil from the top-up. I did not demand it na because I don't have a need for it at those times baka mai-dispose ko pa improperly, mas masahol pa kesa sa tambutso lumabas.

Just had my 35k PMS. I observed and asked the mechanic while he was filling the engine block w/ oil. Only 8.35 liters of oil was needed for 3.2L engine. So may 650ml na natira. Checked the dipstick, medyo lampas lang ng konting-konti sa max line. Pero I had to ask for the excess oil. Para sa next oil change, 8 liters na lang bibilhin ko. P600 then kasi 1 liter.
