The most dominant fighter in the world continued her mind-boggling run of destruction Saturday, submitting previously unbeaten top contender Cat Zingano in just 14 seconds the quickest finish in UFC championship history in the main event of UFC 184 at Staples Center to retain her women's bantamweight title.

Only way Rousey can lose at this point is if she goes up against an armless opponent.

yup, she's in a level of her own. . .with her skills in judo and jiu jitsu the only time it looks like a challenge for her is during the promotion period of the fight where they hype up every opponent that comes up. . .similar cases with jon jones and jose aldo (yup, matatanggal ang angas ni mcgregor when he goes up with aldo in ufc 190)

Yup, she is on a different level from the others. To throw on either the left or right side in Judo, Uchimata pa, is difficult to put together in a match. Watch the Meisha Tate match. Ilang beses tinapon so Tate.

Tanong lang po. Tamad na mag backread.

Aside from their championship belt, may prize money din ba involved dyan sa UFC just like what boxers get in boxing?

    Not as big as boxing.

Ronda Rousey only gets $65,000 for her title fight. (Zingano got $100,000)

Of course, Rousey has her endorsements, and probably has a cut of the take, but if you're only getting paid 65k to fight, considering the months of training needed before the fight, that's not great. Could get paid more for less risk elsewhere.

The big name male fighters obviously get a lot more.

With sponsorships, pay-per-view and etcetera, big guns can make boxing level money. But not everybody is a Chuck Lidell or Tito Ortiz.

So on fight night, additional earning na lang if they win their matchup. Post-fight bonus for the Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night is around USD50,000.

Rousey got an additional USD65,000 for winning, on top of her USD65,000 salary.

They also have endorsements. No idea how much they get though.

The first time i saw her handlers put on the earphones in Rousey after a win, naisip ko "ang OE naman nito". Later on somebody explained to me that they get paid to wear those. Even her handlers/trainers wear them.

imho, people still want to see knockouts rather than submissions, even though the latter takes more planning. Some "macho" people may have a problem watching two men grappling :naughty3:

Mukhang hindi siya sikat sir, pag google ko ang sagot itanong daw kay yahoo.

Checked his URCC fight history, 3 matches in 5 years (1-1-1 record). Iba malamang source of income nyan, walang pera sa URCC.
