Mukhang hindi siya sikat sir, pag google ko ang sagot itanong daw kay yahoo.

Checked his URCC fight history, 3 matches in 5 years (1-1-1 record). Siguro locally kilala siya, not sure though kung lumaban ito sa labas. Iba malamang source of income nyan, walang pera sa URCC.

    Ran a red light.

Crashed to a vehicle driven by a pregnant driver.

Police found weed in Jones vehicle.

    I thought ni-rehab na ito?
Bisyo talaga! Sumira sa career niya.

read that Jones actually went back to his car after abandoning it to get his weed, while leaving the cash behind.

He may have torpedoed his own career. There really aren't any other major MMA organizations out there, and no one's gonna go near him and his drug/criminal issues. Even the WWE has a no tolerance policy against drug use.

On one hand you got some veterans that have kept clean and humble so they can stay in the game as long as they can(Vitor Belfort comes to mind)...then you have Jon Jones. Sayang.

3 years makukulong si jon Jones as per news. Pero tingin ko maaga makakalabas due to good behaviour yan tapos mga 2 years lang or less than 3 eh may comeback fight na.

Basta naman nakapagbayad na nang utang sa hustisya, papabalikin na yan. Such a waste of talent kasi eh. I'm sure he'll be back.

Wow 3 years! I highly doubt na makabalik pa yan paglabas ng preso. Mapag iiwanan na yan ng panahon.

That makes Mayweather the better professional. Jones let glory get into his head....

No thanks probably to his entourage...

A classy champion to rule the women's division, finally.

A rematch is in the works for sure, but just same, same old, same old result. Beatch Ronda will be eating Holly's fists.

"Confidence, Hubris and the Frail Veil of Invincibility"
The fantasy = Last night, the World of MMA saw its biggest upset, the invincible, unbeatable, Phenomenal Ronda Rousey was KO'd in spectacular fashion... The world is upside down.
The Reality = somebody with holes in their stand up game lost a prize fight... Happens 50% of the time... 100% of the time.
Guess what??? Sunday Came, life goes on. Last night the better prepared fighter won... As she should have...End of Story.
The public reaction of Shock, Awe, Joy, Anger, and Hateful speech is what really led me to post my thoughts.
As humans...one of the only things we love more then worshiping our Heroes and idols .... Is tearing them down frown emoticon
So if there is something to learn from... its this ... there is a fine line between "Confidence and Hubris" and NO ONE is invincible... if you fight quality competition long enough you will eventually lose a fight for whatever reason; lack of proper preparation, bad decision, injury, bad style match up, you get caught, your sick, simply a bad day... doesn't matter... In sport somebody loses every single day.
I have been criticized in the past for being too honest with my fighters, for openly talking about the realities of the very real potential that they could lose a fight... for fear that just simply talking about losing will make it a reality.
I've had fighters tell me "that's my belt" or Im gonna do this "after I win"... As a coach this bothers me because that's not your belt, you have to fight 5 hard rounds to win that belt. After you do that THEN its your belt. Tell me what you will do after you win... After you actually win ... For me NOTHING is ever guaranteed and to simply play silly word games to bolster your confidence is a sign of weakness... How about I want to win that belt or if I win... This is reality.
Anything else is absolutely ridiculous... if you are so mentally weak that you need to pretend you are invincible eventually it will catch up with you... The truly strong warrior accepts the potential of loss or death and fights anyway "in the face of fear... Not in the absence of" that's what makes a true warrior.
In my humble opinion it is better to be honest and openly talk about all possibilities and losing is one of them I'm sorry but those are the facts ... No such thing as losing only learning again word games... You can absolutely learn from a loss... But you still lost... And that's fine.
People in our sport act like losing is a dirty little secret or its bad luck to talk about it... The reality is that is is actually "freeing" to accept that in battle today may be the day, make peace with it and just FIGHT.... fight for whatever reason you fight... Not just "so you don't lose".
Otherwise... You create a shroud of frail invincibility ...You face what happened last night.
The inability to be to not believe your own hype, the inability to actually get better, to manage your ego, to recognize that your opponent simply does something better than you do and you need to make them fight their "B" fight. That is not weakness that is strength.
To chase a southpaw counter fighter vs cutting off, trying to brawl while circling into her power vs getting into positions where you can use your superior grappling ... The fact that Holly was a southpaw alone totally seemed foreign to Ronda not only in the striking ranges and the proper angles to use but in her basic throw attempts as well.
For anyone to convince Ronda that she was a world class boxer and for the people around her to allow her to BELIVE it is utterly ridiculous and shameful. This is not reality ...
And the delusion was so strong for so long... between rounds even her corner couldn't be honest with her... Either...because they were totally blinded by ego or living in the same bubble and they couldn't see it with realistic eyes or simply out of fear of shattering the champions frail veil of invincibility.
Either way... You eventually wake up... Id rather live in reality then wake up from a nightmare.
When Alexis fought Ronda the game plan was simple... Stick, move and frustrate Ronda with your movement make it a boring fight the 1st round and just frustrate her with long range weapons and lots of movement because her cardio is in question and when she gets tired her technique goes out the window... Well in reality that "great plan" went out the window when Alexis decided to brawl and she got caught... Alexis innate/hardwired desire to brawl was just far greater then the amount of reps we dedicated to avoiding it...that's my failure for not seeing it before the fight. The game plan to beat Ronda was always the same ...kudos to Holly and Jackson's for implementing what most of us already knew but simply couldn't make reality at the time.
When Alexis came back after that fight to fight Jackson's Sarah Kaufman (who had beat her 2X previously) the game plan was also simple... kick the boxer ... Use your Muaythai to frustrate her to create your takedown opportunities, get this fight to the ground and submit her... That simple. Once the kicks start landing she will over commit on her punches to compensate for the distance in weapons and that when we will be able take her down easily... Fight is over.
We go out in the 1st round and Alexis gets into a boxing match with a better boxer and she loses the 1st round, she's brawling again F**K... But here is where the lack of "veil of invincibility" means the most... here is where living in reality helps... Go back and watch the fight in between rounds 1 and 2 (very much like last nights scenario) instead of telling her how great she was doing.... I laid into her for straying from the game plan, I even reminded her of the Ronda fight...I told her she was losing because she was getting out boxed and demanded she start throwing her kicks so Sarah would make the mistakes we knew she would, get the take down, get the submission fight is over and lets go home... And that's exactly what happened verbatim in round two.
As a striking coach it would be very easy for me to be blinded by my own ego and convince myself that because I'm such a great coach that Alexis should be able to outbox Sarah, well there are years of reps that separate Sarah and Alexis in boxing, much like there are years of reps that separate their ground games... So the reality is why give Sarah the opportunity to do what she's good at??? Again always make your opponent fight their B fight... Last night that did not happen.
Love her, hate her....Ronda Rousey is a gifted and amazing athlete, incredible grappler, fierce competitor and she deserves a huge amount of credit for what she has done for this sport... Almost single handedly she has built 2 successful women's divisions in the UFC, when the men's 125 pound division is on its death bed.
She is a special athlete and should be applauded for what she's done... But since she has lived in the "invincibility bubble" for so long we celebrate her "reality check" we punish her for the attitude... We now mock the brash behavior, when we applauded it... The human condition is a strange one and leaves me at odds with my self.
I for one hope the best for Ronda, I hope she comes back better, smarter and more in touch with reality ... She will not "retire undefeated" and you know what...that's absolutely fine that's life. I wish someone would have told her this sooner.
In fact she has a chance to actually become a much better fighter now... The shroud of invincibility is gone.. She can now live in reality...live in the now... You do this really well, this you don't, let's make this better and let's continue to highlight this.
Every opponent deserves a specific Game plan and approach and we should never be so ego centric that we don't remember that. Strengths and weaknesses... strengths and weaknesses .... That's what the fight game is about. Styles make fights.
It's Time for her to go to work... She doesn't need to be told what she's doing is "Perfect", or "Beautiful" she needs to be told the truth...
Your footwork is off, your hands are out of position, you need to stay "in range" for specific weapons to work...Hands Up, Chin Down, Sit down on your punches, every thing comes from movement, either you head, hands, or feet are always moving.. The three B's ... B 1st, B Last, B Gone. Circle away from power... Learn to use fakes and feints, kick the boxer, Box the Kicker. She doesn't need 20 punch combos and to put on a show every time she does pad work, she needs to learn to throw 2-3's straight with form and power, she needs to learn how to f**king kick and use her elbows to round out her stand up game. Build a foundation from the ground up.
She needs less "yes" men and women and more people who say "NO"!!!. No Ronda you CANT beat Cain in an MMA fight, No Ronda wrap your own hands before training, No Ronda you CANT out box Holly Holm... But here's how you do beat her in the rematch.
Hopefully these things happen... Hopefully we get a chance to see the one thing as Humans we like more then to see more then our Heroes Fall... Hopefully we get to see a Hero rise.
Thank you Ronda for what you have done for the sport, to empower women, I hope we get to see a new you, one that's stronger because you rebuilt the foundation. One that embraces your vulnerabilities and wears them as a badge of honor. I hope your lip bears a frail scar from this fight one that reminds you that the "frail veil of invincibility" is an illusion and I hope you smile more often to show the world its OK TO LOSE ... As long as we get back up and try again.
So with that a Toast to Ronda Rousey "The Queen is Dead... Long Live the Queen"

Hopefully we will see a new Ronda with a changed attitude, not the beatch that we came to know. A taste of humble pie is what she really needed.

I agree. She was and still is a great MMA fighter. I hope she becomes better after this.
